The only way that we grow and evolve is through the process of expanding our knowledge of new things. Understanding human nature has been a topic of debate for many years amongst philosophers and scientists.
I want to shed light on a model of human consciousness, called Spiral Dynamics that was developed by Dr. Clare Graves. In her research, she sought to understand human nature and answer questions like, “Why are people different?” and “What do some people change, but others do not?”
I would like to share with you 3 ways to start your day with self-love. Did you know that how you choose to spend the first hour of your day sets the tone for how the rest of your day unfolds?
It's easy to ignore your needs and jump into your massive to-do list, but if you don't take care of yourself first, you won't have the strength and motivation that you need in order to master your day.EMOTIONS & MEANING, MINDSET, SPIRITUALITY and tagged appreciation, focus on the good, gratitude, gratitude journal, happiness, inner self, loving kindness meditation, mindfulness practice, morning routine, positive affirmations, positive emotions, positivity, practice self-love, self love, self-esteem, self-love meditation, shift your thoughts, take a deep breath, train your mind, wellbeing on .
Are you a slave to your emotions? When something doesn't go your way, how do you react? Do you calmly step back and assess the situation, or do you start ruminating and let your emotions get the best of you?
When you allow your emotions to dictate every decision that you make, it can have a negative effect on every area of your life.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that it's a bad thing to be an emotional person. Rather, it is how you regulate your emotions and navigate your way through challenges, that determines your success in life. This entry was posted in EMOTIONS & MEANING, MINDSET, SPIRITUALITY and tagged belief system, blame game, calm the mind, challenges, change your beliefs, choose how you feel, decisions, emotional mastery, emotional reaction, emotional state, emotions, external outcomes, happiness, how to master your emotions, interpretations, life experiences, life mastery, limiting beliefs, meaning, mindset mastery, negative emotions, negative thinking, observe your mind, positive emotions, pranayama, re-write your story, reactive, rumination, shift your mindset, shift your thinking, shift your thoughts, slave to emotions, state, surrender mindset, take a deep breath, take responsibility for your life, unconscious beliefs on .
I want to talk to you about how to step up in moments of crisis and adversity. There are a lot of challenges occurring in the world right now.
The devastation that Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey have inflicted upon the people of the Caribbean, Florida and Texas is heartbreaking. Hurricane Maria has people in Puerto Rico currently in desperate need. My prayers are with all of the families who have lost their homes and loved ones.
Whether we are directly affected by these challenges or not, I think that a lot of people become passive to them. They don’t reflect upon how they can make a difference to help improve situations of crisis and adversity. This entry was posted in CAREER & MISSION, CONTRIBUTION, SPIRITUALITY and tagged abundance mindset, act of service, active life, adversity, be a leader, big challenges, commit to mastery, compassion, connection, contribution, crisis, ethnocentric, give blood, give money, give time, global citizens, gratitude, helping people, how to step up, how to step up in moments of adversity, how to step up in moments of crisis, humanity, Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria, inspiration, law of attraction, leadership, mission, passive life, pray, prayers, raise your consciousness, resources, rewarding experiences, spirit-centric, take action, The International Basket Brigade, tony robbins, world-centric on .
Want to be happy? Here’s the secret. The pursuit of happiness is a universal desire. We are all striving to have more of it in our lives.
The challenge that many people face is that they try to find happiness, in the form of external circumstances or rewards. This form of happiness is only temporary.
This idea is supported by research that suggests that only 10 percent of our happiness comes from external factors. The rest of the happiness equation is made up of our genetics, the thoughts, and behaviors that we do deliberately, and our attitude. This entry was posted in EMOTIONS & MEANING, MOTIVATION & INSPIRATION, SPIRITUALITY and tagged 5-minute journal, alignment, attitude, attitude of gratitude, be happy, be happy now, be present, belief system, benefits, celebration, commitment, do what makes you happy, emotion, emotions, feelings, find meaning in life, find your flow, focus on the good, focus on what makes you happy, fulfillment, happiness, happiness is a choice, head, healthy habits, heart, inspiration, inspirational, intuition, make a decision, mindset, morning ritual, negative thinking, positive mindset, pursuit of happiness, secret, self-development, shift your mindset, state of being, take responsibility for your life, thoughts, train your brain, universal desire, want to be happy on .
I would like to share with you why happiness is an inside job. Nobody wants to suffer. We all desire to be happy and are constantly striving to pursue it, but in the process of cultivating this emotional state, sometimes we forget to strengthen our inner selves.
We have been conditioned to believe that happiness is derived from people, events, or outcomes. All the ‘things’ which give us pleasure are simply mirrors, reflecting back to us idealized notions of who we think we might be, rather than who we truly are. This entry was posted in EMOTIONS & MEANING, MINDSET, SPIRITUALITY and tagged choice, choose happiness, commitment, discipline, emotional state, external outcomes, extraordinary life, focus on small things, fulfillment, happiness, happiness is an inside job, happy people, honour yourself, inside job, internal state, live in the present moment, mindset, mood, morning ritual, pain and suffering, positivity, possessions, practice gratitude, secret of success, self love, the power of choice, train your brain on .
I want to share with you a simple 2 minute daily gratitude meditation, called the HeartMath Meditation Technique, that was developed by the Heart Math Institute (HMI).
HMI researches the heart-brain communication, and its relationship to managing stress, increasing coherence, and deepening our connection to self and others. It is founded on the belief that our hearts have their own intelligence.
Your heart was created long before before you even had a brain. Don’t get me wrong, the head is an amazing tool for setting goals, learning, and strategizing, but it falls short at providing us with gratitude and happiness. This entry was posted in HEALTH & FITNESS, MINDSET, SPIRITUALITY and tagged brain, condition your mind, deep breathing, exercise, fear, get out of your head, gratitude, guided meditation, happiness, heart intelligence, HeartMath Institute, HeartMath meditation technique, inspirational, intuition, learning, listen to your heart, love, meditation, mind, morning ritual, morning ritual mastery, negative emotions, positive emotions, present moment, setting goals, spirit, the freeze frame, trust your heart, truth on .
