I would like to share with you 3 ways a blog can help grow your business. In today's digital world, business blogging is steadily on the rise. Why? Because people consume content online. Research shows that by 2020, customers will manage 85% of their relationships without talking to a human (Pfannkuch, 2014).

It is fair to say that content is king. It has been coined, ‘the wave of the future', which is why content marketing needs to be your top priority. A blog is a great way to connect with people and share your ideas, however keep in mind that today's online consumer is savvy; they expect content that is both reliable, credible, and engaging. If you don't give people what they want, they won't follow you.

People use search engines to find quality content.  They are looking for information that will answer their questions and solve their problems. If you can successfully rank your content in the search engines so that people can find your content, then you’re tapping into a world of visitors.

My blog has allowed me to build a loyal following of raving fans, comprised of people that trust and like me, which has led to success in all of my other income streams. Once you’ve built up your e-mail list and following, and have established a trusting relationship by way of proving consistent value to them, they will be more inclined to purchase your products or services. Your name and website will be the first thing they think of.

Think of your blog site as a platform that enables you to share your knowledge, life story, and expertise with the world. End of story.” By sharing advice, suggestions, tips, and tools, you will establish strong relationships with your readers, which in turn, will position you as a top influencer in the online world.

  • Great post Stefan! I work full-time and I’m launching a side business. My main form of content creation is blogging, which I’ve used to acquire 250 email subscribers over the past two months. Things are progressing, but slowly. It takes me a few weeks to write an “epic” article for my blog and my small audience loves the content. However, I keep hearing people say that you should be pumping out new content regularly and my content volume is really low. Unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to create more epic articles, but I’m trying to brainstorm ways of distributing epic bite-sized content pieces in between my articles. Is this a good strategy? What kinds of content should I create?
