A: This opportunity is not for everyone. I totally understand that.
I can only share my story, as well as many others that I've seen that have also been in the same position of not being able to afford something. I remember when I was broke and struggling in my life. I was living on my friends couch and was in credit card debt.
I knew the only way to change my life was to do something DIFFERENT than what I was currently doing. I needed to create the change myself. I remember hearing from Warren Buffett: "The best investment you can ever make is in yourself."
"I can't afford to invest in myself!", I would often think. But then I remembered something that I heard once from Tony Robbins.
He said that money is just a resource. It might be true that you don't have the money for something. BUT... what changes people's lives is not resources, but RESOURCEFULNESS. Tony Robbins challenged me to be resourceful. He said "Resourceful people find the resources."
From that point forward, I started to be resourceful in my life. Instead of saying to myself, "I can't afford it", which would only close my mind off from any solution, I would ask myself "HOW can I afford it?", which would then open my mind up to new ideas and possibilities.
I'd challenge my own self-imposed limitation and ask myself: "If there was a gun pointed to my head right now and I HAD TO find a way to come up with the money, what would I do?"
I didn't accept any limitations of myself and forced myself to be more creative, resourceful and committed. I had to make sure that I WANTED IT BAD ENOUGH.
Let me give you some examples from my life...
I remember there was once a seminar I wanted to attend and I couldn't afford it. What did I do? I got resourceful.
I decided that I would host a car wash in my local city. I got some friends involved to volunteer and help me. I held up signs that said "Car Wash Fundraiser, By Donation" and washed cars for a day.
In that day, I was blown away that I made $800 in cash that I put towards this seminar I wanted to attend in New York.
I also decided I'd buy some packs of cigars for $5, then approached my friends and family to support me to buy them for $20. I was able to raise another couple hundred bucks. I hosted a poker night at my apartment once, with $20 buy ins. I set it up so that 50% of the pot would go towards my fundraiser.
There's so many more examples that I can give, which all comes down to wanting something badly enough and being resourceful enough to find the solutions. This mindset and attitude is what it truly takes to succeed at anything.
I've seen people run GoFundMe campaigns. I've seen people work some extra hours on the weekend, getting a part-time job, or working for a temp agency.
The point is... THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY IF YOU ARE COMMITTED ENOUGH.
Always remember that, because it will change your life. If you are committed enough to something, you will find a way to do it. If someone held a gun to your head and said "Find a way to come up with $5,000", you would do it. Why? Because it has become a MUST.
So understand that it is never a matter of money. It always comes down to commitment and wanting something bad enough.
It's not until you realize that you can't afford NOT to do something that you will make it important enough for you.Think about it... what are the consequences of staying where you are at right now in your life?
What are you missing out on in your life?
Where are you going to be in the next 5 or 10 years, if you don't take action and make some changes right now?
That's what I always think about. Often, the pain always drives me to do whatever it takes. And that's how I've been able to change my life and go from broke to now an internet millionaire in a few short years.
