Project Life Mastery scam…this is a phrase that I never thought I would come across online because it is so far from true.
Hi everyone, Stefan James here. I am writing this blog to directly and personally respond to untruthful statements that have been made about me and my business. If you've done an online search, you may have come across the above phrase.
Although I know this stuff often comes with the territory of running an online business, it still is unsettling. Nobody wants to find ugly things being said about them. It's cruel, and frankly, it hurts.
Since I know these false claims are out there and that many of you may have seen or will see the lies, I think it's best that I respond to these allegations directly. It's important that I defend my life’s work. As unfortunate and sad as it is that some people feel the need to publicly attack others for reasons most of us cannot understand, all I can do is try to set the record straight. That is what I'm here to do.
Technology has changed the way in which we communicate with one another. Unfortunately, it has given haters the perfect platform to share their negative comments. I’ve been publishing my ideas online for over 8 years now. Trust me when I say that I've had my fair share of haters.
Mark Twain said it best – “A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.” It's hard to receive mean and negative comments from people. I grew up believing that if you didn't have anything nice to say, then you shouldn't say anything at all.
In the online world, this rule doesn't apply.
As a rule of thumb, I usually don't pay attention to what the haters say. Believe me, I would definitely prefer to focus on the good and stay positive. However, sometimes it is simply not possible to ignore the hate that is out there.
It is disheartening to me to know that some of you may have stumbled upon a “Project Life Mastery Scam” site and may be inclined or persuaded to believe some of the lies being written about me. Thank you for reading this with an open mind. It is my intention to lay out a clear and honest statement of defense of myself and my online business, Project Life Mastery.
Is the Project Life Mastery Scam Claim True?
As to whether or not my business is a scam, it feels crazy that I have to explain this. Not only have I NEVER scammed anyone before, but I have never even contemplated anything remotely like it.
For my current and prospective customers have faith that I am marketing my products and services in an honest and fair way, I have put in place many safeguards for their protection. Let me go through some of them.
It is impossible for me to deny someone a refund if it's requested within a 30-day period. This means that anyone can purchase and gain access to any of my products over a 30-day period. During this time, they can go through the materials, do additional research or comparison shopping, and eventually decide where or not they are happy with the product.
If they decide that the product wasn’t what they expected or doesn’t suit them, they can return it and get a refund. The return and refund process is simple, clear and streamlined. Let me explain…
For all of the products that I sell online, I utilize the payment processors, Clickbank, PayPal, and Stripe. This means I never receive or handle any direct purchases myself. These payment companies have total control of all my product sales and handle the transactions and communications with customers.
This includes customer email payment receipt/confirmation as well as refund processing. I wouldn’t want to have it any other way. The more external and safe controls one has in place for product payment and product exchange, the better the protection and reassurance for all parties, including my customers, payment processors, myself and my business.
In fact…all three of these well-known payment processors — Clickbank, PayPal, and Stripe — have long-standing records of protecting first and foremost, the buyer.
I hope this helps reassure my current and prospective customers that this process is in place to honor their 30-day money back guarantees and remove any fears that I, as the seller, could decide to interfere with the transaction processes.
There are people that have purchased my products and have asked for a refund after the 30-day refund period has ended. Unfortunately, when customers don't get what they want, sometimes they react in a negative way and lash out online.
My team and I always do our best to make sure that our customers feel heard and that we fix any problems that they have with us. However, when someone starts making mean comments about me and my business, there is nothing more I can do.
Online hate comes with the territory of running an online business. I always think to myself, “What do haters achieve by spreading their hate?” Perhaps by projecting their own insecurities onto others, it makes them feel better about themselves.
Unfortunately, the Internet has provided the perfect place for online scammers to pray on people's insecurities. Because of this, I understand why people are cautious and want to go to great lengths in order to protect themselves. This includes taking due diligence when it comes to purchasing my products.
If you are suspicious and hesitant about the intentions of myself or my business, Project Life Mastery, I encourage you to do the following things:
I have made it my mission to add value to my audience in as many ways that I can. This is why I provide thousands of hours of free content on my blog, YouTube channel, and podcast. The mission of Project Life Mastery is to transparently, passionately and powerfully be a positive example of the unlimited possibilities that life offers for those that are committed to mastery.
When I create content I am always asking myself, “How can I be of service to others?” At my core, I am a person of integrity. I lead from my heart, I am compassionate, and I have a desire to help and empower people to grow and step into their power. If I was a fake, people would not follow my work, nor would they pay for my products.
I am a big believer in credibility and authenticity. These are values that I live by in my life and in my work.
I encourage you to take a look at some of the feedback that I have received from authority figures and customers who have benefitted from my products and services. These testimonials are 100% real. Before you decide to purchase anything from Project Life Mastery, please connect with my customer support team. They are there to answer any burning questions, concerns or suggestions that you have.
I understand how important the customer experience is, which is why I put customer support on a pedestal. I hold the belief that the way we treat our customers is indicative of the way we live our lives. When you offer a great customer service experience, your customers are far more likely to trust and like you. I have built my business around this mindset.
I always strive to anticipate and meet my customers' needs. As a result, I have created raving fans.
A great way to put your worries to rest about the possibility of being scammed is to connect with Clickbank, PayPal, or Stripe and say, “I'm thinking about buying a product from someone that is using one of these providers as a payment processor. If I purchase something and want a refund within 30 days, but someone can't honor it because I am past the deadline, can I reach out to you for the refund?”
Is Stefan James' primary motivation to make money?
We all need to survive and make a living. Of course, I want to make money, but it's not the reason why I do what I do. Profit is not my #1 motivator. At the end of the day, it is not what brings me ultimate happiness and fulfillment in life. In the words of Ayn Rand, “Money is only a tool. It will take you wherever you wish, but it will not replace you as the driver.”
My passion is changing lives. However, just like everyone, I too have big goals and dreams for my life. In order to make those dreams a reality, I need to make money. It is a tool that will get me where I want to go in life. Is that so bad?
In order for an online business to sustain itself, it needs to sell something. This is how I've been able to create so much free content for people. I have a team of people who help me do what I do – video editors, web developers, blog manager, customer support, and a project manager.
I invest a lot of the money that I make back into my business so that I can continually grow and provide massive value to my customers. Every time I create a new product I need to invest a lot of time, money and resources into it. Unfortunately, a lot of entrepreneurs feel that in order to truly help others they must lower the value of what they provide.
If someone receives value from my product, don't you think I should be rewarded financially for it? I believe that this is reasonable and fair.
Think about it this way. When you get a product for free, do you value it highly? Most likely not. In fact, a lot of people won't even look take the time to go through it. However, when you pay for a product or service, you end up perceiving it as having high value. In turn, you will receive even more value from it, simply because there was a monetary value attached to it.
In his book, The Go-Giver, Bob Burg says that “Money is an echo of value; it is the thunder to value’s lightning.” He believes that your worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you end up taking in payment.
If I can help people and do what I love, while adding massive value, then I know that money will come naturally. I believe that honesty and integrity are two of the most important qualities in business. It is the reason why I have been so successful. I always strive to do the right thing.
I would never cheat scam, or lie. It's never been a part of my character and it never will. Even though I have written this blog, I know that there will still be people who will continue to spread lies about me and my business. All that I can do is keeping defending who I am and what I stand for.
I sincerely hope that you don't let the opinion of others taint your experience of me in any way.
I encourage you to watch some of the videos on YouTube and read my blogs. Decide for yourself. I am confident that my character will shine through and you will see that I am not who online haters say that I am.
There Are Some Really Mean People Online…
There are some people that will purposefully go out of their way to hurt others. Lack of accountability and anonymity creates for the perfect storm of aggressive and hateful comments.
Early on in my career, someone sent me a lengthy message on YouTube. This person was reaching out for help. I always make an effort to connect with as many people as I can. However back then, I wasn't aware that YouTube had private messaging. You know where this is going…
I didn't respond to this person because I had no idea that they messaged me.
This person decided to lash out at me, calling me all sorts of horrible things. Even worse, they took their anger online and started writing negative reviews about myself and my business. I was shocked. How could someone behave like this?
Honestly, I was somewhat confused why a person would just randomly go online and write negative, untrue, and hurtful things about me. Even going as far as blatantly making up lies.
I always try to see the good in someone and make an effort to understand their position. I spent time going through his messages. Although I still am unsure why he decided to target me, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I apologized to him, and let him know that until this happened, I had not seen or read his messages. I tried to reassure him that it was never my intention to ignore him.
It all started to make sense to him and me.
I guess it was a bit of naivety on my part, coupled with my desire to always give people the benefit of the doubt. I try to remain a kind and forgiving person, acknowledge people’s frustrations, and focus on sending positive messages. Honestly, though, this experience rocked my world… and not in a good way.
Just imagine feeling you have little to no control over online attacks against you, including knowing that the attacks will more likely than not, go viral. It has been a hard lesson and one that has taken me some time to accept.
Given all I that have created, I had never imagined experiencing something like this.
Even though I've had some distance from it, I still find it unfathomable that people would actually expose their rantings and hateful rhetoric to the world, hoping that others will follow. Unfortunately, there is only so much I can do. I have to acknowledge the reality that there simply people out there like that.
Oftentimes people who act hatefully do so because they have been wronged in the past. Perhaps they were bullied or treated unfairly by someone. The only way that they can express themselves is by projecting their anger and hate onto others.
Similarly, they may have low self-esteem, which can result in them seeking out situations where they feel in control and powerful. Part of feeling that way might be taking out their emotions on innocent people.
No matter how you spin it, the Internet has provided a thriving environment for hate.
I wish I had the time and resources to communicate with every single person who connects with my business platform so that I could begin to understand the underlying feelings behind some people’s hostile behavior. Unfortunately, given the size of my business, it is impossible for me to view and respond to all online comments and messages.
Instead, I am choosing to use this blog as a platform to respond to the attacks that have been brought against me.
I want to set it aside and go back to doing what I have always done – providing high-quality products and services to others. My intention has always been to share with others what I have learned about how to live healthier, happier and more productive lives.
I've learned the hard way to accept that this is just the world that we live in. There will always be people out there that are a bit crazy, mentally unhealthy, or malicious in their hearts. I have no control over this – all I can do is continue to try to help and serve with the content I make available.
I am far from perfect.
I've made a lot of mistakes and I've failed more times than I can count. However, I am committed to learning, growing and improving.
I have dedicated my life to becoming the best version of myself and inspiring others to do the same. I take pride in giving my customers the best possible experience so that they walk away feeling happy, seen, and heard. In the words of Mother Teresa, “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.”
I still believe that, by nature, people are genuinely good. I continue to send my haters love and compassion, knowing that maybe that's what they need more than anything. It's okay if some people don't like me. However, when the judgments and criticism are false, I feel the need to stand up for what I believe in.
I take a stand against hate of any kind.
I will continue to wake up each day and stay rooted in my mission to serve others and live in alignment with my higher self. At the end of the day, all that matters is if I can look in the mirror and love the person that is staring back at me. I do. I'm proud of who I am and I know that I am doing good work in this world.
I appreciate you taking the time to listen to my words. If you thought that the claim, Project Life Mastery scam, was true, then I hope that my message has dispelled that belief. Let's not give the culture of hate the power to take over the Internet.
May we all be kind to one another. There is too much hate in this world. Let's be the change that we want to see. I will continue to shine my light in the darkness and trust that others will follow suit.
