Pros:
- You can promote ANY product on Amazon (there are millions of them).
- If someone buys other people's products within 24 hours of clicking on your affiliate link, you make the commissions on all of those products as well.
- Amazon is one of the most trusted consumer platforms in today's online world.
- Millions of people purchase products on Amazon using a one-click buy system, which is an easy way to make sales.
Cons:
- Amazon doesn't pay out high commissions, so it's hard to make a lot of money (anywhere from 1-10 percent). However, you can get around this by promoting high-ticket products that are sold for $1000 or more.
- Amazon has a 24-hour cookie, meaning that you will only get credit for sales that occur within a 24-hour window.
- You need to build up a blog or website before you get approved into the affiliate program, which can take time.
Keep in mind that there are pros and cons to every online business model. It comes down to finding a model that works best for you. Building an affiliate marketing business on Amazon isn't for the faint of heart. If you don't have a proper strategy in place, you won't make much in terms of profits.
