What's the future of Kindle publishing?
The reality is, Kindle publishing is growing massively. Year after year, more and more consumers are making the transition to buying Kindle devices and consuming books in digital formats.
The paperback industry is still alive and well – but is on a downward trend.
Many local bookstores have been closing down, simply because they can't compete with Amazon and consumers are purchasing books online and through their Kindle devices.
Kindle is also bigger than all of their competitors combined. Amazon doesn't even take a profit or make any money – they are re-investing everything right back into growing internationally and marketing Kindle.
Audiobooks (ACX) is also a big, growing trend. More and more people are listening to podcasts and audiobooks, purchasing from Audible and iTunes. I believe this is also going to be a huge transition that the world is going in.
