If you've ever made a commitment to lose weight, and failed, you're definately not alone. There is no magic pill for getting the body you deserve, but it is possible. Unfortunately, a lot of people slip back into bad habits when they don't see results fast enough.

A recent study found that four bad behaviors — smoking, drinking too much alcohol, not exercising, and not eating enough fruits and veggies — can hustle you into an early grave  and age you by as many as 12 years. Shocking, right? These findings prove that, if you want to live a long and healthy life, you need to adopt healthy habits.

The 10 weight loss tips that we are going to share with you today have transformed our lives, and have ensured that we stay healthy, fit, and keep our weight off. Let's dive in!

1. Eat Clean 6 Days A week

Eating clean is one of the most powerful weight loss tips that you can follow. If you want to be healthy, it is important that you eat whole foods that help satiate your appetite and ensure that your cells are getting the nutrients that they need.

Avoid junk food at all costs. You won't be able to lose weight and stay healthy if you eat junk food, because a lot of them are high in processed sugar and fats.

By eating clean 6 days a week, when the 7th day comes, you can allow yourself to have a cheat day. People can get overwhelmed by the idea of eating clean. It comes down to having an awareness of what clean, healthy food really is.

Keep in mind that whole, nutritious foods are found on the outside aisles of a grocery store, like fruits, vegetables, lean meats, brown rice, and the healthy grains, so stay away from the inside aisles!

2. Eat Lots Of Raw Veggies

If you eat lots of raw veggies, you won't be as hungry throughout the day. You will notice that your skin starts to improve, your appetite changes, and you will have more energy and vitality overall.

Tatiana has a leafy greens salad with every meal, because the fiber really helps to fill her up, and it prevents her from snacking throughout the day. If you snack in between meals, those extra calories could be the reason why you are struggling to lose weight.

One of our favorite ways of getting a lot of fiber in our diets is by having smoothies that we make with our Vitamix machines. Our smoothies usually consist of plant-based proteins, spinach, and high fiber vegetables. We also like to use more low glycemic fruits, like blueberries.

We suggest that you avoid a lot of fruit smoothies, because they can lead to candida overgrowth and other things that you don’t want inside of your body. Fruit is good for you, but you have to watch out for the sugars that are in them. If you don’t like the taste of green smoothies, you can always add stevia, which is a natural, zero calorie sweetener.

3. Lift Weights

This is one of the best ways for you to be able to lose fat. You want to make sure that you have a consistent weightlifting routine. Tatiana and I both love going to the gym. There’s a great feeling that comes from challenging your body.

Keep in mind that, the more muscle that you have on your body, the more calories that your body is burning, because it is using that energy throughout the day. Calorie burning is only a small benefit of weight lifting. You don’t just want to lose fat, you also want to build muscle, because the muscle is what gives you shape, tone and athleticism.

Tatiana has a company called, Luxx Health, which is based in the fitness industry. She sees a lot of women who lose weight, but don't do the work to replace their weight loss with any muscle, so they end up having loose skin. She believes that, if you want to build curves, booty, and toned arms, you need to lift weights.

4. Do HIIT Cardio

HIIT stands for high intensity interval training cardio. Tatiana and I do this form of exercise 3 times/week. This is one of the best ways to get fit quick.

It requires that do high intensity cardio, for 30 seconds to 1 minute. This may be in the form of sprinting or swimming really fast in the pool, followed by a rest period of 30 seconds to 1 minute.

If you repeat this cycle for anywhere between 10-20 minutes, you will not only burn calories, but you will also rev up your metabolism so that your body is burning more throughout a 24 hour period of time.

We like HIIT cardio because of the after-effect that we get, versus doing slow cardio over an extended period of time. If you google the difference between an image of a sprinter versus an endurance marathon runner, you will notice that the sprinter has muscle and looks more fit and strong, versus the endurance runner who looks a lot skinnier and more depleted.

5. Drink Lots of Water

After you do a HIIT cardio session you are going to be really thirsty, so its important to drink lots of water. Did you know that seventy percent of your body is made up of water?

Oftentimes are bodies are dehydrated first thing in the morning, which is why starting your day with a coffee is a bad idea. The moment that Tatiana and I wake up we crush 2 glasses of water right away.

The best way to know if you are dehydrated is if your mouth is dry, or if your urine is yellow or orange. Oftentimes, people eat because they are dehydrated, so if this is you, try drinking a glass of water instead of reaching for some food. You may notice that the water curbs your hunger.

It is also really important that you are always drinking high quality water. Stay away from tap water. I invested in a water ionizer, which ensures that my water is high quality, micro clustered, ionized and alkaline. If you can't afford an ionizer, try adding a lemon to your water. This is a great way to help alkalize it.
