Will You Hold Me Accountable? My Commitment To YOU!

In this video, I'm making a big commitment to YOU and I need your help to hold me accountable to stick with it.  A few days ago, I shared my 2014 goals and resolutions, and so I thought I'd record this video to give myself an extra edge in motivation to ensure that I reach my goals this year.

My Commitment For 2014

I've decided that I'm going to commit to publishing a monthly update and progress report here on my blog.  In this monthly update, I plan on sharing exactly where I'm at with each of my goals so that I can be accountable.  I think measuring your goals on a regular basis is extremely important and this will allow me to do it publicly.

When I look back at my 2013 goals review, I realized some of my goals I didn't achieve simply because I didn't pay enough attention to them.  I didn't measure them regularly and check in on them enough times.  I was also lacking some accountability, which is the biggest thing that made the difference in allowing me to transform my body and compete in the WBFF fitness competition back in 2012.  When I committed to the WBFF in 2012, I shared regular “progress reports” every two weeks, sharing details of my weight, body fat, and even pictures.  You can see all of the progress reports and my journey here.

Most of my goals won't require a full in-depth analysis, but just a simple update on them will be enough.  This will force me to assess my goals every month.  I'll also be super committed to following through since I've already created a video declaring my commitment. If I back out now or miss a month, I will surely look like an idiot in front of you, which I don't want to have happen. 🙂

And… I need YOUR help to make this successful.

I need you to kick my ass if I'm slacking with my goals.  I need you to encourage me and push me.  I see this as a journey that I'm not doing alone, but will be doing with YOU in my corner.  I plan on being transparent and sharing with you, which hopefully can inspire you with your own goals.  I'm hoping to share with you as much as I can about what's working for me, so that you can use my advice to help you be successful in your own life.

So, will you hold me accountable?

What's Your Commitment?

After I encouraged people to publicly share their goals for added accountability in my 2014 goals article, I received a few e-mails from people sharing their goals with me.  I had one person that said that he'd e-mail me every month with an update with his goals, which I thought was totally awesome.  It's powerful to make such a commitment to someone you might respect or look up to, as you will ESPECIALLY care what they think of you more than anyone else.  I assume this will add much more drive to this person and they will be successful as a result of doing this.

I even had one of my clients, Myke, send me an e-mail with his 100 Day Challenge goals and strike a deal with me.  He asked and proposed to me to be interviewed by me on PLM if he achieves his goals.  This is something that I agreed to, and it's motivating him right now to work super hard to make his goals happen.  Again, another awesome demonstration of fully committing to goals.

What's your commitment?  Is there someone you can commit to, or something you can do to help make yourself more accountable?

I'd love to hear them!
