Why wait until tomorrow to make a change in your life? Become who you want to be now! Have you ever looked back on your life and thought to yourself, “If I had only committed to making that change, life would have be so different now?” Inaction is what creates doubt and uncertainty in people. In order to be successful in life, you need to have a life plan, which requires that you set long-term goals and stay committed to achieving them.
Goals give us direction in our lives; they force us to step outside of our comfort zones. Setting goals is great, but unless you take action, they will be nothing but a dream. What is your plan for making your goals a reality? In the words of Jim Rohn, “If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are that you will fall into someone else’s, and guess what they have planned for you? Not much.”
Oftentimes, we know what is that we want to do, but we still don’t do it because we are fearful that we will fail. Failure doesn’t feel good, but it is a prerequisite for success because it allows you to experiment with what works and what doesn’t. What are you afraid of? Feel the fear and do it anyway.

Sure, living in our comfort zone is easier and a lot less scary. As Daniel Kahneman wrote in Thinking, Fast and Slow, when assessing risk, potential losses tend to loom larger than potential gains. The reality is that if you want to make a change in your life, you need to take a risk and embrace the unknown. Leo Buscaglia said it best –“The greatest risk is to risk nothing at all.” Life mastery requires that you step out of your comfort zone and take massive action.
Self-belief is the foundation on which success is built. If you don't believe in yourself, who will? Unfortunately, a lot of people never take action because they hold limiting beliefs about their abilities. Are your beliefs limiting you? If so, make it a habit of talking to yourself in positive and empowering ways. As bestselling author Jon Gordon always says, “Talk to yourself more than you listen to yourself.” If you do, it will create a sense of momentum that will inspire and excite you to take massive action. Become who you want to be now!
I am living proof that this works. I am not the same person whom I was many years ago. I used to be shy, insecure, and lacked self-esteem. People often ask me, “Stefan, how did you make a change?” When I discovered the world of self-development, in particular, the work of Tony Robbins, I made a decision to change my life. How? I used fear to propel me forward. I became more afraid of what my life would look like if I didn’t change than if I chose a different path. I consistently focused on what it was that I wanted to manifest in my life.
Who I am and what I have achieved today is a direct result of making a decision to live a life of mastery. Over time, I have conditioned the belief that I am capable of being and doing anything that I desire. Ask yourself, “What is it going to cost you if you don’t make a change?” If you don’t step up and take responsibility for your life, nobody else will. Don't live life with regrets. Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow. Stop over-thinking, trust yourself, and become who you want to be now!
