4 Steps to Changing Your Life with the Law of Attraction

I am going to start this post with the science behind the Law of Attraction.

Why? Because when you first hear about the philosophical principles behind it, you may think it sounds unrealistic or ‘airy fairy’.

The truth is that, as much as The Law of Attraction is in fact a philosophy, it does have scientific backing to support it, and that backing comes in the form of the great Albert Einstein.

So let’s begin with a quote:

“Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want, and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy, this is physics.” – Albert Einstein.

You may be wondering, what is this all about?

When I first came across the Law of Attraction I didn’t really understand it, but I started to put the principles into practice in my life, and all of a sudden, things began to change.

What is the Law of Attraction?

The Law of Attraction is a theory and a philosophy.  In a nutshell, what it means is that anyone can achieve or own anything they want in this world; you just have to know how to attract it into your life.

Since we are made up of energy, if we can learn how to match our energetic vibration to that of the things we are trying to attract, then that object or scenario will manifest into our lives.

Sounds crazy, doesn’t it?

Well, not according to one of the greatest scientific minds this world has ever known.

However, don’t just take Einstein’s word for it.  Listen to some of the most successful people – Tony Robbins, Oprah, Stefan, etc.  One thing that you will notice is that they all possess certain personality traits.  They are exceptionally motivated, grateful, and most of all, positive.

These are some of the core principles of The Law of Attraction, and many people actually practice the principles without even knowing it.

So, how can you begin utilizing the Law of Attraction?

Firstly, it’s important to know that the Law of Attraction works both ways.

This means that, yes, you can manifest positive circumstances with positive thinking, but the opposite also applies, and if you are in a habit of thinking negatively, then you will more than likely be attracting negativity into your life.

Before you start utilizing the Law of Attraction, you need to be open to shifting yourself out of any negative habits you have.  Don’t feel bad if you slip back into old ways of thinking from time to time.

Breaking habits takes time, and eventually the principles will become more natural to you.  However, in the beginning, you may find yourself having to consciously make the effort, but trust me, keep with it, this can be very powerful.

Step 1

Every day when you wake up, begin the day by thinking of the things that make you grateful and happy.

They don’t have to be the same every day.  I try and think about really small things I am grateful for, because I feel this makes the big things seem even better.  If you practice gratitude the moment you wake up, you will experience a more positive mindset.  If you utilize Stefan’s, Morning Ritual Mastery, then you could incorporate this step into that.

Step 2

Make goals. Think seriously about what it is you want from your life.  Perhaps you want to sky dive, or fly to a developing country to help the poor, or become a successful business person. We all have dreams, and none of them are right or wrong.  Set yourself some goals in each area of your life.

Relationships: Who do you want to be spending your time with in 5 years from now?  Are they the same people in your life presently? Do you want a more settled relationship or to have a family in the future?

Career: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?  Are you CEO of a company?  Do you have your own successful business? What hours do you work? Do you have an office you go to every day?

Spiritual: Do you have spiritual goals, such as becoming more in tune with your higher self? Do you see yourself helping others on your journey?

Personal: What does your health and fitness look like in your ideal world? Are there any personal issues you want to overcome, such as anxiety?

Achievements: Are you an Olympian in your ideal universe? Do you have acknowledgement from your peers in business? Have you won any awards? Are there any achievements you want that you have not yet reached?

Material: What does your ideal home look like? What car do you drive? What would you like to own?

This list is not exhaustive, but the point is, that by the time you have finished this task, you should know exactly what your ideal world looks like.

Write these goals down,  Make sure you write the date as well, as you will want to refer back to these over the coming months, and take your time with them.

Step 3

Live it! Well, internally anyway (for now).

Visualization is one of the most powerful techniques you will ever use.  Athletes have been known to perform better from visualization alone.  To visualize, start by getting comfortable.  You can meditate first, if you wish, but just close your eyes and relax. Let images start to flood your mind.

See yourself living some of your goals.

This will take some practice, but over time you will get the hang of it.  For example, before I got my car, I used to visualize getting into it.  I would visualise the smell of the leather seats, and the shiny paintwork.

If you want a certain house, visualize yourself waking up in that house, and going down to cook breakfast in your beautiful kitchen overlooking a garden, or working on your laptop by the pool.  Take every aspect of your ideal life, and visualise it.

Step 4

Be nice.  Being positive and wanting to give to others will help you in every aspect of your life.  Why? Have you ever noticed someone and thought to yourself,‘They always seem to land on their feet?”.  It’s usually because they are attracting positive circumstances.

The great thing about the Law of Attraction is that once you get the ball rolling and manifest your first achievement, it gives you confidence and positive re-enforcement.  You immediately begin to manifest more because of the positive mindset you’ve created.

However, on a more practical level, people who are more positive generally go further in life, simply because people want to be around them and learn from them.

When people respond better to you, more doors will open for you.  Positivity is like a magnet. Take the time to share your knowledge and use your positivity to inspire others.

I hope this brief insight into the Law of Attraction has made you think, but more so, I hope it makes you act.

Remember, you can be whoever you want to be. Go out there and make it happen!

I would love to hear your thoughts and connect with you.
