How To Surround Yourself With Successful People

Are you surrounding yourself with people that are more successful than you?

As the saying goes, “Who you spend time with is who you become.”

The peers that you surround yourself with are influencing who you are right now and who you're going to be in the future.  I've even heard people go so far to say that your income is in direct reflection of the 5 individuals you most consistently spend time with.

All I know is that by surround myself with people that are more successful than myself, I've been able to grow massively.

It's always uncomfortable being around others that are much smarter than you, however it helps you to raise up to that level.  It challenges you and inspires you to grow.

In this video blog, I share a little bit about my experience of how to surround yourself with successful people and how to take your life to the next level.

3 Tips How To Surround Yourself With Successful People

Here's 3 tips on how to surround yourself with successful people.

1. Put yourself in places where they're hanging out.

I've met many people that are more successful than myself just by putting myself in the right places.  This means going to seminars, attending meet up groups or events where they might be.  Often times, there are individuals that are VERY successful at these places and you can meet them just through friendly networking.

2. Focus on GIVING value, not TAKING value.

Successful people are busy and don't have much time available.  They also have a lot of people that want their time and attention.  If you approach them trying to “take”, they'll just ignore you and sense that right away.  Instead, find a way to GIVE VALUE to them.  This could be just promoting what they're doing, supporting them in some way, and helping them achieve their goals.  If you can make a difference to their life or business, then you'll be on their radar and they'll notice you.  You might even find them reaching out to you!

3. Hire a coach, mentor, or join a mastermind group.

Most of the successful people that I've been able to surround myself with are coaches, mentors, or mastermind groups that I've paid to be apart of.  Don't be afraid to invest money to get these peoples time and attention.  Remember, they know the value of their time and likely won't help you for free because they're just so busy.  So find people that are more successful than you and see if they offer coaching.  Often times, you can develop a friendship with your coach or with the people that you're in a mastermind group with.
