My morning routine is the most important part of my day. Without taking time each morning to prepare myself mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, I'm unable to perform at the highest level and give my all.
By having an empowering morning routine, I start off the day happy, excited, passionate, full of energy, motivated, and productive. I literally feel “unstoppable”. I'm unfazed by challenges or problems that might show up, because I'm coming at them from a powerful state.
Not only that, but my morning routine also guarantees that my health and body are taken care of each day. I'm getting healthier, stronger, faster, and in better overall physical shape through my morning routine.
In this video blog, I share a bit about my morning routine and how I start off the day in a powerful way. If you want to know more about how to create our own morning routine, then check out my flagship program, Morning Ritual Mastery.

My Step-By-Step Morning Routine
I'm always changing up my morning routine, as I always ensure that my morning routine is relevant to where I'm at with my life and what I'm trying to accomplish. I often tell people in Morning Ritual Mastery, how you want to create our own personalized, custom morning routine that will SERVE YOU!
What I do each day might not benefit you as much. Instead, you want to cultivate your morning routine around the emotions that YOU need to cultivate most in your life. Or around shaping the beliefs that YOU need to develop the most. Or doing exercises or activities that will bring you closer towards your goals and the life that YOU want.
None the less, by viewing my morning ritual or routine, you'll be able to get some great ideas and see how I start the day.
Here's how it begins…
7:00AM – I usually wake up around 7:00AM, however, sometimes it's earlier and sometimes it's later. It will depend on the day before, but I often strive for consistency. I sleep anywhere from 6-8 hours per night.
7:01AM – I always force myself to SMILE in the morning. No matter what. Smiling has amazing benefits and helps to change your state. It also helps you start off the day happy and appreciative. Some days I automatically smile without thinking about it, other days it takes a bit of effort. None the less, the simple act of smiling is easy and powerful.
7:02AM – I make my bed and then head to the bathroom to do my business, brush my teeth and wash my face.
7:05AM – I head to the kitchen and drink 9.5 alkaline water from my water ionizer. I often will mix in some greens powder, liquid chlorophyll, or lemon/lime to alkalize it even further and provide more health benefits. Hydration is critical first thing in the morning. I don't drink any caffeine or coffee or anything like that (sometimes might have matcha green tea, but that's it).
7:10AM – I take a few supplements in the morning. Lately I've been doing intermittent fasting, so I don't typically eat breakfast until noon or in the afternoon (usually a 16 hour fast from my last meal). Intermittent fasting has fat loss benefits and other health benefits that allow you to perform better.
7:15AM – I put on my shoes, head downstairs to the gym or outside and go for a walk/run. I always start with a 5 minute walk, doing some breathing exercises. I then run for at least 30 minutes and then do a 5 minute cool down. As I'm running, I'm usually listening to or watching something inspirational on my phone.
7:55AM – I do at least 5 minutes of stretching. This helps my body feel much better, get rid of tension and increases my flexibility.
8:00AM – I come back to my apartment and do some reading and journaling. I read at least 10 pages of a good book. I also journal and write out what I'm grateful for, what I enjoy about my life, and a few other things by having a “conversation with myself” as part of my morning routine.
8:15AM – I now work on cultivating my state by asking myself empowering questions, such as “What am I happy about?” or “What am I grateful for?” or “What am I most looking forward to today?” I'll also often do some incantations to help put myself in a peak state and cultivate empowering belief systems.
8:30AM – To wrap up my morning routine, I'll plan out the day and get ready to jump into work. I aim to work on the most important, highest leverage things for me to accomplish that day.
At the end of my morning routine, I'll also celebrate and reward myself – an important step for reinforcing habits and developing consistency, which I teach inside Morning Ritual Mastery.
This is my morning routine right now – it often changes, especially when doing my morning ritual while traveling.
However, I aim to cultivate 3 core areas of life, which I teach inside Morning Ritual Mastery. They are: your body, your mind and your spirit.
Your morning routine doesn't have to be as long as mine. It can be 5 minutes if you choose. The physical exercise is what takes up the bulk of my morning routine. However, you want to again create something that benefits YOU and serves you in your life.
So what is your morning routine? Is your morning routine serving you in your life and empowering you? Do you feel amazing in the morning, happy and productive? If not, then it's time to make a change and raise your standards! How your start the day will determine, or at least influence, the rest of your day.
Start it fast and strong and powerfully! The most successful people in the world all have morning rituals, from Tony Robbins, Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, and I could go on and on and on.
