My 2016 Goals & Resolutions

Since 2012, I’ve publicly declared my goals and resolutions at the beginning of each year.  I’ve found by doing this, it’s created a powerful internal pressure to take action and raise my standards to achieve them.

Accountability is one of the most important factors that has helped me to push myself further and further each year, and I plan on publicly sharing my 2016 goals here as well so that I can remain accountable.

While I’m proud to have achieved many big goals during 2015 (see my 2015 goals review), I’m more motivated than ever to achieve even greater things in 2016.  I'll be continuing to share my Monthly Goals Reports to give regular updates on where I'm at with my goals.

In 2015, I shared my Goal Setting Workshop that I do every year to help me set goals for myself that I learned from Tony Robbins.  If you haven’t set your 2016 goals yet, then I encourage you go through a process like that.

It’s the process that I go through every year, along with what I’ve learned from Gary Ryan Blair in his 100 Day Challenge.  My secret weapon to achieving my goals has been using accountability systems, such as the 100 Day Challenge, which has given me that extra edge throughout the year to push myself harder.

The biggest mistake people make when setting goals is never even checking them again or measuring them regularly, which is what this 100 Day Challenge helps you to do.

I encourage you to make sure that you’ve clearly set your goals for 2016 and to even publicly share them, just as I’m doing right now.

You can share them with your friends, family, on Facebook, via e-mail, on your blog, or even as a comment below.

Again, by making them public you’ll have more internal pressure to follow through on them.  The people that you share them with will also likely be following up with you throughout the year, reminding you of the commitment that you made to them, which will make you more likely to follow through on them.

So, what are your goals and resolutions for 2016?  I’d love to hear what they are, make them public and leave a comment below!

    Great goals, good luck!

My problem always is motivation and just being lazy. I mean I know how to do everything, but I just don’t do it. Choose to go out and party, than work. Any suggestion on that? I enjoy parties and alcohol and adventure that comes with it too much.

    • Thanks! Have you thought of joining the 100 Day Challenge? That will help you create consistent habits, motivation and discipline in your life: http://projectlifemastery.com/100daychallenge

Yes, thought about it. Guess got to try this. Maybe helps. By the way #30daymorningritual challenge is great. Sometimes takes more time than just morning, but still try to do everything or at least 90% of tasks. Thanks!

Awesome goals Stefan. Glad to see you pursue the real estate investment. I made a commitment to educating myself on real estate investing and have had great success. Far better than any of my other investments. Will be buying another this year.

If there is anything I can do to help you with this goal let me know. It’s the least I can do after all the inspiration and tips I have picked up from your videos.

You should do a “health mastery” course or “energy mastery” course to help people who are busy make time for diet and fitness.

Yes, that’s true, that I don’t really want. When I want something or need something, I go 110% and usually get done that faster than expected. Try to program myself to want things, but it’s bit hard. 🙂 Will try this one task thing for 30 min. Hope it will work. Thanks for suggestion and detailed comment. About parties agree, have friend who works like horse and parties hard too. Getting there.

  • Thank you Guy for your generosity! It is going to make a huge difference. I’m very grateful.

  • Always!

  • Thank you Anudeep, I appreciate it. Wow, at 18 you’re going to be a superstar in your 20’s as you keep growing!

  • Awesome Derek. Not “I want to”… but “I WILL”… as I know that you will do it!
