I would like to share with you how you can master your state.

Emotional Mastery is the process of becoming aware of and learning how to direct your emotional states.

Mastering your emotional state is the most important skill that you can learn in your life. Why?

If you master your state, you will more likely be inspired by positive emotions that propel you to take positive action, that in turn, creates positive results. It becomes a snowball effect.

Have you ever wondered why some people have a optimistic view towards life while others have a pessimistic one?

Positive Psychologists argue that genetics account for only about 50% of one’s inclination towards pessimism or optimism. What you do with the rest is up to you.

You can be crippled by your emotions, or you can use them to action and achieve success in your life. The choice is yours.

Tony Robbins said it best – “The truth is that we can learn to condition out minds, bodies and emotjons to link pain or pleasure to whatever we choose. By changing what we link pain or pleasure to, we will instantly change our behaviors”.

In order to achieve anything in life, it all comes down to your emotional state. I believe that it’s not what you get that makes you happy, but rather it’s who you become in the process.

In order to change your emotions, you need to change your state of mind. Unfortunately, most people allow negative states to take over their lives.

Its important to realize that states are memory accessible, which means that they stack up on one another. It becomes a domino effect.

The quality of your life is determined by the quality of emotions that you consistently feel.

Therefore, in order to experience a happier and more fulfilling life, you need to harness positive emotions, like gratitude, joy and love on a daily basis.

When you master your state, you master your life.

      I’d love to chime in on this Jackson… Something that I learned awhile back and that I do to this day in order to help master my emotions is to understand that everything is my fault. All the good that happens and all the bad that happens to me is entirely my fault.

      Once you come to grasp with that and truly understand it, you will realize that it means everything is in your control. So there is no need to be angry, upset, worried, stressed out or sad. You control the situation. You only need to change it.

        Certainly – you have control of your emotions, perceptions, and actions! Thanks for sharing!

        From my experience, taking responsibility for where you are and what you’re experiencing is the first step to creating a life you love.

        Personally, I’m looking for exercises that cultivate the emotions I desire. Surely adding them to a morning routine and setting a timer to feel the emotions I want to feel throughout the day could be beneficial.

        I really liked this article, was curious if there were any other practical steps to developing them.
