Tony Robbins changed my life.

He made me believe that anything was possible. Over the last 15 years, I have been obsessively consuming his work. He was the person who inspired me to start Project Life Mastery. He taught me how to cultivate and master each area of my life. I owe so much of my success to him.

I've always wanted to support Tony's teachings and add value back to him. I believe that this is one of the best ways to be in proximity to your mentors. Earlier this year, Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi, and Russell Brunson launched a new product together called, The Knowledge Business Blueprint. This is a course that teaches you how to take your knowledge and turn it into a successful business.

They invited me to be an affiliate and help launch their new program. The content was in alignment with my mission and vision, so I was immediately on board. One of the top 10 affiliate prizes was a chance to go to Fiji to spend 4 days and nights masterminding with Tony at his resort. This was a dream opportunity for me so I took it.

I placed third in the affiliate contest and I won a trip to Fiji! This is proof of how powerful affiliate marketing can be. I didn't have to create the program. Rather, I just shared it with other people. By doing so, not only did I help add values to others, but I also added value to Tony Robbins.

This is what opened up the door for me to spend one-on-one time with him.

Some of the other top entrepreneurs who joined me at the mastermind were Dean Graziosi, Russell Brunson, Lewis Howes, Jenna Kutcher, John Lee Dumas, and Nick Unsworth. I received so much value from this experience. One of the most important decisions that you make in life is who you choose to spend your life with. Proximity is power.

I always try to consciously surround myself with people who are more successful than I am. You never want to be the smartest person in the room. If you are, you're in the wrong room. I was nervous about going to the mastermind because I knew that I was going to be surrounded by people who were playing the game of life at a much higher level than myself. However, it's only when I'm really uncomfortable that I grow the most. I decided to be a sponge and absorb as much as I could from these incredible entrepreneurs.

Here are some of the key takeaways that I learned masterminding with Tony Robbins in Fiji.

1. Think bigger

To be able to see with my own eyes what Tony has been able to create at his resort in Fiji was so inspiring. He came from nothing and has been able to create massive success. Being in his presence and hearing his story has forced me to think bigger. Even though I have achieved great success in my business, I want to continue raising my standards.

2. Create a compelling vision

Tony taught me the importance of creating a compelling vision in each stage and area of my life. More importantly, he encouraged me to start creating a vision for my life, 10-15 years down the road. By doing this, all of the sudden my thinking expanded. In Tony's words, “You first want to determine where you want your life to go, and then your business, and not the other way around.”

3. Love where you are and love where you're going

A lot of people love where they're going and are so focused on the future. However, in doing so, they fail to enjoy the present moment. Tony believes that it is not only important to have a vision for your future, but you also need to learn how to love your life in every given moment.
