My girlfriend Tatiana and I had the opportunity to travel to to Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Muscat. I want to share with you some of the EPIC experiences that we had on our Arabian adventure!
If you have yet to check out any of these cities, I highly recommend that you put them on your travel bucket list. We were blown away by the richness of the Middle Eastern culture and its people.
This is the beauty of traveling and being able to see the world. It opens your eyes to new ideas, belief systems, and cultural practices, giving you the opportunity to appreciate how other people live.
I believe that travel is one of the best educations that you can receive. Mary Ritter Beard said it best – “Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.”

Here are some of the highlights of our trip to Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Muscat.
Dubai
On the first leg of our trip in Dubai, we had the pleasure of being shown all the awesome sights by my good friend.
Dubai is well known for its magnificent high-rise buildings, but if you want to have an authentic Dubai experience, you need to check out “Old Dubai.”
This Arabian marketplace is adorned with hundreds of colorful shops that sell textiles, food, and much more.
We then took a ride across the Dubai Creek on a wooden boat called an “abra” to check out the Dubai museum and learn more about Dubai’s rich culture and history.
One of the highlights of our trip was a thrilling off-roading dune bugging adventure in the desert of Dubai. It's pretty amazing to drive past camels while riding into a vast sandscape that stretches for miles.
For anyone that is a thrill-seeker, I highly recommend that you check out this safari activity the next time you are in Dubai.
We also got to check out The Burj Khalifa. As the tallest building and freestanding structure in the world, this is an architectural dream. The 360-degree view at the top of the tower is absolutely magnificent, allowing you to see the vastness of the desert city.
Muscat
After Dubai, we took a flight to Muscat, which is the capital and largest city of Oman, where we stayed at the Shangri-La to unwind and enjoy the luxuries of the beach, spa and pool.
Nestled by the sea, Muscat has a very different feel from the flashiness and high rise buildings of Dubai. It was clean, laid back, colorful, and surrounded by mountainous terrain. This city should definitely be on your travel wish list.
Abu Dhabi
We then flew back to Dubai to catch a flight to Abu Dhabi, which is the second largest city in the United Arab Emirates. While there, we got the opportunity to check out the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
Boasting 82 white domes, this is one of the largest mosques in the world, and is considered to be Abu Dhabi’s most iconic landmark. We were in awe of its grandness and the beauty of Islamic architecture.
All in all, our trip to Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Muscat was amazing. I highly recommend that you put these cities on your list and explore the richness that the Arabian culture offers. The benefits of travel are far-reaching. Where will your next adventure be?
