If you only had 48 hours to make money online and there was a gun to your head, what would you do?

What would be YOUR strategy for making money online in only 48 hours?

I received this question recently and it got me thinking.  If a gun was to our head, then it would instantly become a MUST for us to succeed.  We'd have to find a way.  No excuses.  If we don't, then we're dead.

It's pretty remarkable what happens when we are RESOURCEFUL enough.  Our creativity is unleashed and we discover parts of ourselves that we didn't even know existed.

Here's What I Would Do…

Keep in mind, I am assuming that I am starting from scratch and don't have ProjectLifeMastery.com or anything like that.

The path that I'd take to make money online within 48 hours would be with Kindle publishing.

I've said it before… Kindle publishing is by far the easiest and fastest way I've discovered to start making money online.  It's newbie friendly and much faster than any other strategy out there for making money on the internet (and I've done a lot of internet marketing).

Here's the steps that I'd take with Kindle Publishing:

1. Go on Amazon and discover a profitable niche/keyword that lots of people are searching for.  (30 minutes)

2. Come up with a title, optimize it for the keyword and make it stand out. (30 minutes)

3. Create my own e-cover for my Kindle book.  (1 hour)

If I outsource this, it might take too long and I only have 48 hours.  So I'd open up MS Paint or Photoshop or even find free image editing softwares online and create my own cover really quick.

4. Write my own 5000 word Kindle book. (3 hours)

I would open up Microsoft Word and start writing everything I could on this subject.  Anything I didn't know, I'd research and find online to add to the book.  I could just publish a book that is 2500 words (the minimum size of a book that can be published on Kindle), but I can easily do a 5000 word book within 3 hours.  If a gun was to my head, I'd probably do just the bare minimum, but I'm also considering quality and actually helping people too.  I'd apply much of the principles taught in my Mastering Book Publishing program.

Also, I would NOT outsource this because it'd take longer than 48 hours and I'd be dead.  So I'd much rather just do it myself.  If I had more time, then I'd leverage other people to get it done for me.

5. Publish the book on KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing). (12-24 hours)

I'd write up a description for the book, upload everything, set the price for $0.99 and then hit publish.

This is where I need to wait.  It'll take 12-24 hours for KDP to publish my book and make it live on Amazon for sale.

6. Ask friends and family members to review my book. (3 hours)

I'd need some Amazon reviews for my book in order to really sell it and be successful, but it isn't always necessary.  Sometimes Kindle books sell without any reviews (depending on the niche), but I'd want to ensure that it'd get sales.

I don't have any customers to review my book yet, so instead I'd tap into my friends and family for help.  I'd call them up, tell them about my situation (a gun is to my head), tell them I wrote a Kindle book, then ask them to post an honest review of it.  I'd make sure it meets Amazon's guidelines and that they state that they were sent the book for free in order to post the review and that they are related to me.

For example, an Amazon review that would meet Amazon's guidelines would be:

“My name is Nicole and I'm friends with Stefan, the author of this book.  I received this book for free and am going to provide my review on it.  I believe this book is useful and has some good, practical information on XYZ.  I believe that if someone applies this information, it will help them with XYZ.”

Also, I said it'd take “3 hours” for this just to be safe.  It really only would take less than 30 minutes to get a handful of reviews, but I want to be as conservative as possible.

7. Promote my Kindle book like crazy! (All Remaining Time)

While I'm waiting for the Amazon reviews, I'd be promoting my Kindle book like crazy.  The only thing that it needs now is TARGETED TRAFFIC.

There's no time for a free promotion or utilizing some of the strategies I teach in Mastering Book Publishing, so I'm going to have to do the heavy lifting.

If my book was on Binge Eating, then I'd find people that are suffering from Binge Eating and then attempt to sell my book to them.

I'd do this by joining Facebook groups, forums/message boards, blog commenting, YouTube commenting, and everything else that I could think of that is FREE first and foremost.

I'd also pay for some traffic, as I'd urgently need to make money or I'm dead.

So I'd start using Facebook ads, Google ads and Bing ads and set up campaigns really quick.  I'd target keywords and people that are interested in Binge Eating or people that are overweight/obese.  I'd direct all of the traffic to my Kindle book on Amazon.

The biggest things you need to be successful in making money online are the following:

PRODUCT + TRAFFIC = MONEY

I'd utilize Amazon and create a Kindle book for the product.  That way I can leverage Amazon and get sales from their website.  However, I could have created and sold the product on my own website, but then it'd take more time to create the website, get the domain name, write the sales copy, set up the thank you/download page, integrate it with PayPal, etc… so there would be many more steps.

For traffic, I'd use as many free and paid sources that I could to send targeted visitors to my product. By following this strategy, I could easily make money online within 48 hours.  I've done it many times with Kindle books just by following what I teach in Mastering Book Publishing.
