Once you know what you want, then you can identify the best vehicle to get you there. That is what a business is. Get clear on your vision and then take the steps in order to manifest it.

Everyone will start a business for a different reason, whether that's getting out of debt, living in alignment with your passion, or traveling the world. Based on your answer, there will be an ideal business model that suits your values.

3. What is your passion?

When it comes to starting a business, passion is one of the most effective motivators. Get clear on the niche that you want to build your business around. Passion is what drives you and will keep you moving forward, regardless of the challenges you will face.

4. What are your strengths?

A lot of people give way too much attention to their weaknesses but fail to acknowledge their strengths. A huge part of success is discovering what your gifts are and then leveraging them to your advantage. When you find something that you're good at, practice it until you become a master of it.

5. What is your budget?

If you go into the business world thinking that you are going to get rich quick, you're setting yourself up for failure. Different business models will require different financial investments. Do your research and pick one that most aligns with your budget.

6.  How much time do you have to commit to building a business?

A successful business doesn't happen overnight. It can take years of time, energy and hard work before you start making money. However, if you trust the process you will eventually get to where you want to go.

A lot of people choose to build their businesses on their own. I'll never understand why. Don't reinvent the wheel. Rather, learn from those who have already been where you want to go.
