Content Creation Process
Record Video
I have a virtual assistant that helps to automate this process. You can do this yourself, but it will be overwhelming. For example, let’s say that I record a 10-minute long video. I then share this on dropbox, which goes to my virtual assistant, who then edits it, uploads it to YouTube, and optimizes it.
YouTube is the second largest search engine, behind Google. In the next 10 years, 90% of content is going to be video. It is a very powerful form of content that you want to utilize in your business in order to build your brand and attract people to you online.
Transcribe Video Into Article
We then get that video transcribed, which becomes an article that we can then publish on a blog. By having the article on the blog, as well as embedding the video into the blog post, it allows us to create content, which can then be picked up by Google and other search engines.
This is another great source of attracting people online. I use Rev for transcribing video into article format. It costs $1/min. You can have someone edit it and clean it up, or SEO optimize it for specific keywords.
Transform Audio into Podcast
We then take the 10-minute audio and put it on i-tunes, which allows a lot more people to find me and consume my content. We also embed the podcast on the blog post. This one video can now be found in three different forms of content.
Transform Sentences From Transcript Into Other Forms of Social Media Content
From the transcript, I then find sentences or pieces of content that can be created into social medial content. For example, lets say that I say ‘content is king’ in one of my blog posts. My virtual assistant could then take that sentence and publish it as a tweet on Twitter, which can then be turned into an image, using a software, like Canva, and put on Instagram.
From there, I could take the quote or image and put it on Facebook, Pinterest, etc. Similarly, I have taken certain videos that I’ve done, had someone transcribe it, and then publish it as a kindle book that I sell on Amazon.
It’s all about repurposing your content on multiple social media platforms and leveraging yourself as much as possible. In doing so, you are going to be able to create so much more content on a consistent basis. Implement my content creation machine process and watch your online business grow!
Video transcript
Hey, everyone. This is Stefan from ProjectLifeMastery.com. In this video, I'm going to share with you what I call my content creation machine. This is the exact process that I utilize in my online business that has allowed me to create a ton of content, attract thousands of people to me online, and build my brand, Project Life Mastery to where it is today. Now, you might be wondering how it is that there are people out there creating so much content.
You might look at someone like myself or someone else out there that you follow and be blown away by the amount of content that they are producing on a daily or weekly basis. You might be a content creator yourself – a blogger, a YouTuber, a podcaster, whatever it is, and you might be overwhelmed keeping up with creating content. Keeping on top of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Periscope and Snapchat every day is overwhelming, especially if you don't have a system for it, if you're not automating it in some way, if you're not leveraging yourself. That's primarily what I want to share with you in this video. The process that I'm going to share with you is the process that I utilize in my business to create content. I'm going to try to keep this video around 10 minutes or so, but I can't go into everything in this video. It's pretty in-depth.
I am creating a bonus for my Affiliate Marketing Mastery members that's going go into this exact process in a lot more detail, but I still think it's important to share this with you because it will help you understand how to leverage yourself and work smarter, not necessarily harder. Let's say this video right now is a 10-minute video and hopefully, I'll try to keep it within 10 minutes. The first step that I take to create content is I record a video.
Step one, record a video
I have a virtual assistant that helps to automate this process. Really, that’s the most important thing when it comes to automation. You can do all of this yourself, but it's going to be way too overwhelming. I'm very blessed now because I've built an amazing team of people that work for Project Life Mastery and I have virtual assistants in the Philippines, a virtual team in Canada, The United States, and all over the world that work with me. In the Philippines, you can hire people very inexpensively for some of these very mundane or repetitive tasks that you are probably not going to want to do yourself.
To give you an idea, you can find virtual assistants in the Philippines for as low as $3 an hour, which is a great wage for them because of their economy and their exchange rate. I'm going to share the process that I utilize. A recorded video, let's say it's a 10-minute video. By the way, I apologize for my writing. It can be a little bit messy at times.
I record a video, I then share this on Dropbox and this goes to my virtual assistant who does the video editing. Essentially, what this person does is that they receive the video and they edit it. There is not much editing involved with my videos. It's just at the front and the end. My assistant uploads it to YouTube, optimizes it and step one is done. He puts the video up on YouTube. By the way, YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world, behind Google.
The video is powerful. Hopefully, you are utilizing that in your business as well. Most content online is video. Actually, within the next 10 years, 90% of content is going to be video. If you don't believe me, look at your Facebook feed. What do you see most of? Video. On Snapchat, Instagram, what do you see most of? Video. Video is a very powerful form of content that you want to be utilizing in your business in order to build your brand and to attract people to you online. I usually always start with a video.
Step two, transcribe the video into an article
The second step is we get that video transcribed. We transcribe the video, which becomes an article that we can then publish on a blog. Step two is to transcribe the video into an article. Now, the benefit for this is by having the article on the blog as well as embedding the YouTube video in the blog post, that allows us to create content that can then be picked up by Google and the other search engines out there. Google is the number one search engine out there.
By publishing written articles, my content can show up if people search in Google for either short tail or long tail keywords. That is another great source of attracting people online. Also, some people don't want to watch a video, they just want to read; they want to skim through it and pick up the content that way. There are people that you can hire in order to transcribe a video into an article.
I use Rev, and it's about $1 for every one minute, so a 10-minute video costs $10 to turn into an article. You can either have someone that can edit it, clean it up a little bit to make it more readable, or SEO-optimize it for Google and the search engines for a specific keyword. Turning it into an article is the second step.
Step three, turn audio of the video into a podcast
The third step is we take the audio from this video, and we turn that into a podcast. We take the 10-minute audio, have somebody add an intro and an outro to that, and then put that up on iTunes. All of a sudden, you have another piece of content, a podcast that's on iTunes that a lot of people can find you from and consume your content from. We also embed the podcast on the blog post.
This is very powerful. This one video already is three forms of content. Three places for people to find me, as well as for people to consume my content because some people like to listen, whether they are at the gym or driving in their car, so the podcast is also a great way to repurpose your content.
Step four, use excerpts from the transcript as social media content
Now, the next step is that I have somebody that goes through the transcript, the video or the podcast and they basically find little sentences or excerpts that can be created into social media content. In this video, lets say that I say something like, “content is king”. Everybody should be using content in their online business.
Well, the person is going to then take that and he can now publish that as a tweet on Twitter. From there, can turn that into an image. You can use different software or tools like Canva, and put a background image with that quote on there and then put that on Instagram. Then, from there, you can also take that quote or the image and put it on Facebook.
It can go on all these different platforms. It's all about re-purposing the content. Here, is this 10-minute video that I created, all of a sudden, it's become seven different pieces of content on all these different platforms.
In fact, this one video can become several tweets, Instagram posts, Facebook posts, or Pinterest posts, all from this 10-minute video. Again, it's about working smarter, not harder. It's about leveraging your self as much as possible. Like I said, you could either do this yourself or you could just hire someone inexpensively that can rinse and repeat this machine for you. In doing so, you're going to be able to create so much more content consistently. To give you an idea, for myself, sometimes I'll do a Snapchat story. I might even do a Periscope live stream.
The same process applies. If I did a Periscope stream, that could be turned into a YouTube video, published on YouTube, transcribed, put on a podcast, etc, all from that one piece of content that I created. Leverage yourself as much as possible. This is what the big influencers do. For example, in a lot of cases, the person that is writing the books that you buy are not actually writing the books themselves.
Conclusion
Now, in a lot of cases, there is a ghost writer who is going through videos and content that that person has already created, and they are transcribing, editing, cleaning it up, and turning that into a book, which can then be published as a New York Times bestseller. In a lot of cases, these people aren't sitting there writing their own book. Rather, they are leveraging themselves by using other people and re-purposing content that they have already created.
To give you an idea, I've done this myself, where I've taken certain videos that I've done that provide really amazing value, had someone transcribe it, edit it, clean it up, and I publish that as a Kindle book that I can then sell on Amazon for a couple of dollars. That's a great way of re-purposing content and being smarter with it. Hopefully, this gives you a good idea of my content creation machine, how you can leverage yourself, and work smarter.
Like I said, I go a lot more in depth with this in my Affiliate Marketing Mastery program in terms of the actual details and behind the scenes access of how I do it in my business. If you are a member of that, you are going to benefit from that. Regardless of that, I want to show you the power of leverage and how to create more content on all these different platforms in order to help you grow your brand and your online business.
