What is the difference between you and those that are millionaires and living the life they want?
It's only one thing.
Confidence.
If you begin to doubt yourself, believe you can't do something or lose confidence in who you are, then you most likely won't achieve success.
Even worse, you will begin to move backward with your life goals and what you really want. That's how powerful your levels of confidence are in your life.
There are ways you can build confidence and begin to achieve higher levels of success. Begin to believe in who you are and live your best life.
I believe that everything starts with knowing how to boost confidence in every area of your life. When you begin to change your perception and belief system about who you are, it allows you to achieve anything – without limitations.
Here's a video on 5 ways to boost your self-esteem to start your journey on boosting your confidence.
Your Problem With Low Confidence
Did you know that by the time we are in high school, girls have self-esteem issues that average at 75% and boys have the same confidence issues at 45%? Statistical studies show how confidence changes our capacity in life based on this self-perception.
The issue with having low confidence levels doesn't stop with high school. We carry those belief systems with us throughout our lives unless we proactively begin to change how we think and view the perception of who we are.
When I was younger, I was shy and often had anxiety. These were directly related to my inability to build confidence in myself. It was only by proactively deciding to change my confidence levels that I was able to alter my perception about myself as well as how I related to others.
If you find that you are anxious, have social withdrawal, don't accept compliments and don't encourage yourself when achieving goals, then it is based on how you started to perceive your sense of self at this point.
You have left this underlying belief as a part of your relationship to yourself and to the world, leading to continuous issues with your inability to build confidence.
It's Time To Start Believing In Yourself
If you feel like you have low self-esteem or sense of low worth than start changing how you view yourself right now. It will be impossible to achieve what you really want in life until you have a different mindset toward everything you do.
How do you change the pattern of losing your sense of self that followed you around for years?
Start with looking at the areas that you need to build confidence in. Here's a checklist that will guide you to those answers.
- Do you give yourself credit for the things you do well?
- How often do you criticize yourself every day?
- Write down and look at your greatest qualities.
- What are the areas you want to do better at? Set this as a goal and start to work toward better confidence in these areas.
Start to track what your patterns are and how you think about your levels of confidence. If you find that you doubt yourself or shy away from certain circumstances, then work on how to build confidence.
Your ability to have self-esteem doesn't instantly change overnight. It's something you will need to work on and continue to improve.
At times of uncertainty, a lack of confidence will start to come up again. Don't let it take over your life.
Learn to conquer your doubts and limitations.
Each time something comes up where you have doubt or “shy away”, look at how you can build confidence instead. When you start to change that one perception, it will change everything in your life.
Build Confidence for Success
In my Life Mastery Accelerator, I show you how to begin building success in every area of your life – relationships, finances, career, health, and your life purpose.
One of the main focuses is to look at how to build confidence.
You have to stop believing in failure, and instead reward your successes.
That's how you can tell whether you are able to build confidence or if you are setting yourself up for failure. If you set certain goals and you fail, then it becomes easy to beat yourself up, limit your potential or even to just give up. If you instead reward yourself and show that you can be successful, then it is possible to begin changing your confidence levels.
It is that simple to change your mindset and your belief system.
Pay attention to your thought patterns and what you believe when you do something. When you do something that builds your confidence, celebrate it. Continue to highlight it and use that to leverage your next success.
You will find that as you do that, you will build a wheel that keeps bringing more potential and allows you to build confidence and be even more successful.
If, instead, you focus on your failures, you are only allowing yourself to live with low self-esteem. Your perception of who you are is based on how you have failed, what you have failed with and your inability to achieve what you really want. And that mindset plays out – over and over again.
Are You Using the Power of Your Mind?
I have found that the more conscious I am of what I think, the easier it is to be successful. The popularity of the book, The Secret, was the beginning of showing us how we could manifest anything with the Law of Attraction.
That all starts from the mind. Just like your confidence. It's in your mindset that you decide what your perception of yourself is. And as you decide this, it manifests into your life.
Before you attract anything else to who you are, you attract yourself and what you believe you can or can't do.
That is the simple secret to success.
When you want to build confidence, simply look at the thoughts and patterns in your mind. When you find that something doesn't fit, change it. Alter what you think.
Attract situations that allow you to build confidence, that test your beliefs and which allow you to break through any limitations. When you begin to work toward mastery of your mind, you will find that everything you think of yourself changes.
If I had not worked on who I was and what my beliefs were, I would have never been able to be in the relationship that I'm in. I wouldn't have been able to build a multi-million dollar business. And, I would have never achieved the success that I have today.
Instead, I choose to look at how I perceive things and what I believe. I test and question everything that I can. I work with mentors to push my limits and to build confidence in everything I do.
Through that journey, I've found that there are no limitations. There is only the continuous process of learning how to master your mind and build confidence.
When you truly begin to understand who you are, then there is no room for low self-esteem. It can't exist when you recognize your purpose and your true potential.
But if you allow your mind to continue to believe in self-limitations with low confidence, then that is the reality you will create.
Conquering the Signs of Low Self-Esteem
When you see signs of low self-esteem, it's time to build confidence.
Look for these issues when you don't feel confident:
- How you hold your body. Do you try to hide behind your hands or are you open?
- Do you decide on what you want to do or are you indecisive?
- Should you do that? If you hesitate to do something that you really want to, then it's a sign that you need to build confidence.
- Self-sabotage. How many times do you set yourself up for failure? It may be time to check into conquering this pattern.
- Fear. You may have a fear of rejection, getting involved or toward others. Look at your areas of fear and how this causes you to stop living toward success.
When you notice these patterns, it's time to relook how you are perceiving yourself. When you build confidence, you will notice that you embrace more of life and don't have as much hesitation to doing what you truly love.
Everyone has the ability to be successful and live the life they love.
Don't let lower self-esteem and the need to build confidence hold you back from what you really want.
