Human Garage employs a systemic approach to aligning the mind and body.
While my girlfriend Tatiana and I were in Venice, California we had the pleasure of interviewing Garry and Anela Lineham, who are the co-founders of Human Garage.
They believe that the body will naturally begin to recalibrate and heal itself, by locating and releasing the root of pain.
Their philosophy is based on the premise that every person’s body is different. We need to be active participants in our own recovery, in order to heal. The focus isn’t about providing a band-aid solution to pain. Rather, it’s about locating and treating the origin of pain, in order to remove it once and for all.
Tatiana and I had such a transformational experience. As a result, we want to share more about what Human Garage does, and how their work changes people’s lives.
We care passionately about sharing anything that has personally benefited our lives. Are you ready to learn how you can better align your body and mind for high performance?

At Human Garage, their mission is to bring the mind and body back into alignment.
They developed a hands-on release therapy that works to move their clients through an unwinding process that realigns their bodies from the inside out.
So many people live in pain on a daily basis, and some don't even know why. In the words of Kevin Trudeau, “Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel.”
The Human Garage approach is based on the premise that the mind and body are connected with one another. Research by neuroscientists at the University of Pittsburgh have shed new light on how stress, depression and other mental states can alter organ function. These findings prove that there is a real anatomical basis for psychosomatic illness.
Along with this line of thought, it is imperative that healing addresses the psycho-emotional roots of pain and discomfort.
Here is a sneak peek of our interview with Garry and Anela.
Can you share a little bit about yourself, your story and how you founded Human Garage?
This is the first time that we have ever been on camera interviewed together. We’ve purposefully stayed away from the media, because of our mission. When we tell our story people always ask, “So, how did you meet?”
We actually met on Craigslist and I just love the reaction that it brings up in people. I (Garry) had a series of clinics called, The Rubenstein Center in Orange County and Beverly Hills. We had clients that would come from Malibu.
L.A. is a funny place because if something is too far, people just don't want to drive. I needed a place to meet them in-between.
One day, Anela was working at a yoga studio in Santa Monica and she posted an ad about needing help with her pain. We walked in there and started to talk about how we could help her. A synergy started happening, and 6 months later we were married.
This is how Human Garage started.
Anela grew up her whole life knowing that she was going to affect the world in a positive way. Ironically, I had the same vision as well. She had been working at it from the perspective of yoga, breathwork, and spiritually. I was forced into it through my own physical pain.
I received care of some sort, 2-4 times a week for most of my adult life. It was somewhere between a 4-9 on the pain scale, every day. You get used to being in pain, and there are moments when it peaks. Those moments are when you start looking for help.
You don't just focus on one specific problem. Rather, you address the root cause of a problem. Can you share with people what Human Garage is, and some of the ways that you help heal people?
The first and the most important word that sets us apart is alignment. Alignment is not just physical. However, people think it is. Human Garage takes a look at what alignment means, in every aspect of a person’s life. We need to look at the entire body as one unit. If we don't, we will miss a lot.
Stefan and Tatiana, we love what you guys are doing. You focus on creating alignment in people's lives. We are doing the same thing but from the perspective of getting people's bodies into alignment. When our bodies and our minds work clear and aren't fighting each other, it's amazing what happens.
As we began to realize that there's a truth to every modality that is out there, we started to bring on different modalities of healing.
We noticed that people weren't experiencing physical changes. Rather, they were emotional and spiritual in nature. They had a greater conscious awareness of who they were. People were coming back to our clinic saying that they had life-transforming experiences.
Human Garage was originally based on the process of releasing muscle tension to help people stand and walk without pain or discomfort.
As a practitioner, when you see this happen 1-3 times, you think, “Wow, that's pretty cool.” However, when you see it happen thousands of times, then you know that you are actually making an impact. That's when we decided to change our focus.
What is your philosophy when it comes to focusing on the root cause of problems, instead of just fixing physical pain?
Let’s start off with chemistry. Interestingly enough, we see this all the time. We have the largest base of non-sick tested people in the world because we test everybody who comes through the door with lab work.
Our treatments work on the body so quickly. The body has to adapt and assimilate the work.
This is why we need basic metrics and lab work to make sure that people's bodies can handle it. We started a biochemistry team because our clients were not getting results. There was no reason why they weren't. We knew that there had to be more to it.
We finally found a piece of science that was fairly obscure. We revitalized it and started to use it. We've done 3500 lab tests on people and the results are scary. I (Anela) was the first client who got tested. It saved my life.
I'm originally from Bosnia, and I spent some time during the war in Bosnia. I didn't even realize it, but I had been suffering from PTSD. There was a lot of interesting things that were accumulating from the past 30 years of my life.
When I got tested, the results were shocking.
I look back now and I think, “Thank god I knew what I know today” because I had a lot of trauma that was being stored in my body.
We started looking at how chemistry affects our neurology. We realized that you can't have one without the other. You either treat the entire body, or you are better off to not to treat it all.
The biggest challenge for us is making people understand this thought process. It's all about educating people about how their bodies work.
What do you believe is creating a lot of the challenges that people have?
There is a big trend towards genetic testing. This means that people are getting super micro with regards to how they view the human body. We forget that the entire body has to work together. As the world goes micro, we are taking a step back and going more macro.
We look at how it all works together, and how these systems affect one other. We have been able to integrate lab work with artificial intelligence, and have started to see patterns and behaviors that nobody in the world has ever seen.
There is no place in healthcare where you see people for more than 15-20 minutes at a time. Our sessions are 2 hours in length. During this time period, we have the opportunity to analyze people’s behaviors, how a treatment affects their work and life, and how their brain processes.
As a result, we make better decisions because we have better information.
It's not about being super intelligent. Rather, it's taking a step back and asking the bigger question, “Why is this all happening?” When we do it in this way, we find some pretty crazy answers.
How are emotions and trauma stored in the body?
Last year, Harvard researchers analyzed where trauma starts. They believe that trauma is stored in the fascia. Fascia is the one thing that you cannot remove from the human body.
You can remove every muscle, nerve, and bone, but fascia is intertwined with every part of the body. The only time that it leaves the body is when the body decays. It is comprised of one hundred trillion cells that control the entire nervous system.
The body doesn't know the difference between emotional, environmental or chemical trauma.
We know that trauma is unconscious, meaning that you are not actually thinking about all of the things that happened to you in the past. Therefore, if trauma is stored in the body and it's subconscious, then by default that makes your body subconscious. That started to flip the switch on the way that we think about the body. It's not a meat suit. It's filled with information.
Seventy-five percent of our baseline stress production is in malfunctioning biomechanics. If we can remove the malfunction, then the brain has more space to do other things, and that is what we really want.
Do you have any practical tips for those people who can’t travel to the Human Garage for treatment? Anything that they can do that would help them to better align their body and mind?
Toxicity and dehydration seem to plague everybody. Athletes think that, in order to get the body that they want, they need to be dehydrated.
Hydration doesn't mean drinking more water. Athletes are usually overhydrated, meaning that they take the mineralization out of their body and the body can't hold the water.
If you are drinking half your body weight in ounces, you probably don't have enough sodium in your diet. You want to get a good mineral base. Eighty percent of the diagnoses that we make at Human Garage today are people who have symptoms of dehydration.
The next thing is, if you can get yourself into a squat, 2-3 times/day for 2-3 minutes, that's great.
Lastly, be more conscious of where you are getting your food from. GMOs, pesticides, and herbicides are messing our bodies up. It's a silent killer. It takes about 3 months to get all of the toxicity out of someone’s body. Once you get it out, your life changes.
We can't control all of the chemicals, but we can start choosing which ones are going to go on and in our bodies.
I would like to transition into talking about some of the supplements that you give to your clients, like Keto Fuel and Power Curcumin. Can you tell us more about the benefits of these products?
We bring products and services to light that enhance people’s ability to interact with their world in an aligned fashion. One of the biggest problems that people have is inflammation. Everything external to us is a stressor, and our response to that stressors is stress.
Stress response always has one thing in common – it always fires stress hormones, which are inflammatory. Stress results in inflammation. One of the supplements that we give to people in order to combat inflammation is Curcumin, which is the active ingredient in turmeric.
We went from giving 2-hour treatments to 90-minute treatments, based on giving our clients two capsules of this supplement. It takes inflammation out of the body at a cellular level. The less inflammation that you have in your gut, the more clear that you will be in your mind.
The other product that we give to our clients is Keto Fuel. There are only two patents that exist on exogenous ketones. They require 4x the amount of salt. They also require you to take a third party fat source, which is MCT, and that is their primary driver.
Butyric acid (BA) passes the blood-brain barrier in the same way that MCT does. However, it has an interesting side effect. Over half the population has gastrointestinal stress with MCT oil.
BA naturally occurs in our system. This acid activates nutritional ketosis, so it puts your body into ketogenesis. If you are using this supplement for weight loss or nutrition it works a lot better.
Human Garage exists in order to help people better understand their bodies.
They are dedicated to making people you better, by recharging your body and rebooting your brain for high performance.
At the end of the day, you are the only person that can heal yourself. If you are ready to do the work to heal your life, their platform is a great place to do so.
I encourage you to check out Garry and Anela's website and learn more about what they do. These are two people that truly want to serve and make a difference in the lives of others. They also make it very affordable for people to experience their treatments.
In the words of Jana Kingsford, “Balance is not something you find. It’s something you create.” Imagine how your life would change if you didn't have to live in pain for one day longer.
