While I was at the SellerCon event in Orlando, Florida I had the pleasure of interviewing Peter and Adina, a husband and wife from Romania.

I interviewed them one year ago when I attended the Amazing Selling Machine event in Las Vegas. During our conversation, they shared their journey to success, which started with the Amazing Selling Machine (ASM) course.

This inspiring couple from Romania didn’t even speak English when they started with ASM. They took a leap of faith and did what many people would consider impossible.

Their story is proof that anybody has the power to change their life.

Here is a sneak peek of my interview with Peter and Adina, where they talk about their journey to success, and how they went from being poor to building a million-dollar Amazon business.

You already shared your story in our last interview together. However, for those people that don’t know who you are, would you mind sharing a little bit about how you got into ASM and selling on Amazon?

We live in Romania. We started selling on Amazon 3 years ago. It wasn't easy for us, but if you want something you can do it. We had a hunger to succeed. I (Peter) was working and Adina was with our children at home.

We built our business using Google translate. After 3.5 years we now have a great Amazon business. We do more than $2 million per year, and we support other Romanians who have the desire to build online businesses. What makes ASM amazing isn't just the course that they provide. It's also the awesome community that you become a part of.

We want to promote ASM and inspire more people from Romania and all over the world to see how this business model can transform their lives.

In our first interview, I remember you shared with me that money was a big barrier when you joined ASM. Can you share with my audience how you overcame that barrier?

We had no money. I (Adina) was a stay-at-home Mom and Peter was the only one working. We borrowed $5000 from the bank, $3000 for the ASM event in Las Vegas, and another $5000 to buy inventory and get our business up and running.

Jason Katzenback told us that if we came to the ASM event we would have a higher likelihood of experiencing success with our Amazon business.

We put all of our faith into ASM and it paid off.

We want to show people from our country that anything is possible. I (Peter) wasn’t happy with my job. That is what fueled my desire to take action and do something different so that we could have a better life.

Were you skeptical about taking the ASM course?

Yes, we were skeptical and afraid. We were in a hard situation in our lives. However, we knew that this was our opportunity. We had to learn new things and make it work. We received an email through Robert Kiyosaki, which is how we heard about the course. We trusted him, so it was an easy choice. Our desire was bigger than our fear.

What was the mindset that you had going into this experience, and how has it helped you achieve success?

Our education and commitment to personal growth and development really helped us succeed. We have a belief that there is more to life than just working. It’s about living your dream. We knew that if we wanted nice things in life, then we needed to create them.

I’m (Adina) a psychotherapist, so I love learning about the mind and how The Law of Attraction works. After years of growing, we realized that things can happen if you have the right mindset, attitude and a solid education. That is why we believe that 80% of success is your psychology and 20% is the strategy.

We want to build a program for our community that will teach people how to develop themselves. Our slogan is, “We re-define success.”

Success isn't just about money. Rather, it’s about happiness.

If you want to be a happy person and live a really great life, you need to learn more about the principles of life – knowing who you are and being connected to something greater than yourself. We want to help new entrepreneurs because we believe that they can change the world.

If you want something and you believe in your dreams, you will attract the right people into your life. If you can do that, then you will learn how to adopt a success mindset. Having courage is the fastest way to have the right attitude.

I (Peter) went to the ASM event in Las Vegas because I wanted to believe more in our dreams and in the change that we wanted to create in our lives. I didn't stay in an Airbnb. Rather, I stayed at the Venetian Hotel, because I wanted to feel what it felt like to be successful.

When I did that, I believed in myself more. Belief is everything. Find successful people that can help you believe in yourself.

How long did it take before you started to see success from your efforts?

It took us 6 months. During our 7th month, I (Peter) quit my job. We were already making 6 times more money than I was making in my corporate job. Investing the time and effort into building our Amazon business mattered more to me.

After 5 months, our business took a hit, so we told ourselves that we needed to go to the ASM mastermind event in Hawaii. After we went, our business grew tenfold. This proved to us that it all comes down to belief.

If you want to be a good leader, be a good student.

If you want to be successful, you just have to follow other successful people. You don't need to reinvent the wheel. If someone made it, so can you.

Were there any big challenges that you faced along the way? What did you learn from those challenges?

We had a lot of challenges. The language was difficult, so we would watch the same videos multiple times. This worked for us because when we applied the knowledge to our business, we really understood what we needed to do. Once we learned English, we continued to face other challenges.

We didn't have enough cash flow, our business growth took a downward turn, and then it grew again, all while we were trying to take care of our children. I (Peter) would come home from work at 6 pm. Adina had been taking care of our children all day. We were both very tired.

After 9 pm, we would start working on ASM until 1 in the morning, and then our small child would wake up. We didn't sleep much.  After 6 months, our Amazon business began to grow and things got easier. Those 6 months were hell though.

However, we knew that if we wanted to change our lives, we had to do this. ASM was the way that we could make this happen. We believed that it would work, and it did.

How has your life changed today as a result of taking ASM?

The reward is unbelievable. If we had to go through those 6 months again, we would do it. We have an incredible life. Our children have an amazing education, we have a lot of time for ourselves, we travel a lot, and we have friends all over the world.

We have a beautiful community of Romanians that we support and who support us.

We are surrounded by a lot of good energy. It was worth all the hard work. Knowing that I (Peter) can wake up in the morning and not have the pressure to go a job that I don't love is a great feeling. We are free. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are.

Your story has inspired a lot of people. What is the mission behind what you are doing?

We started the culture of achievement program for Romanian people that went through the ASM course. We wanted to support them in this process so we decided to build a community.

We’ve created mastermind groups where coaches help people to be accountable, we have mentors, and we put on live events, where people learn personal development strategies and techniques for achieving success in life.

We know that motivation decreases after a while.

Every 2-3 months we connect with people to make sure that they stay on track with their goals. We believe that everyone is born with a mission. Our mission is to inspire others to change the world through entrepreneurship. We also want to encourage people to find their own mission in life.

A lot of people are on the fence about whether or not they should invest in a course, like ASM. Do you have any words that you want to share with those people who are looking to make a change in their lives, but who need an extra push?

We were very scared when we first decided to take the ASM course. Everybody wants to experience freedom. We all have the power to create the life of our dreams. Nothing of value is easy, but you just need to go for it.

Amazon is always growing. Today, they are making $223 billion dollars in sales. In the next 6 years, everyone in the world will have access to the Internet. If you want to build a million dollar business, Amazon is the place to do it. It’s not too late. Now is the right time.
