Everything in this Universe is comprised of energy.
Within each of our bodies, there is a chakra system that is always flowing. The chakra system is a complex network of energy channels that exist throughout the whole body, much like a spiritual nervous system.
That energy flow is pure love, happiness, and bliss. Unfortunately, we go through experiences in our lives that create pain, trauma, grief, and shame. These negative emotions create blocks inside of us because of the meaning that we ascribe to our experiences. If the energy in your body is stuck, so too will you.
When negative events happen in your life, don't cling to them or resist them. Most often, when you're hurt or upset, it's because you have expectations and beliefs that aren't being met. I hate to break it to you, but things aren't always going to happen the way that you want them to. Sometimes life has a different plan from your own.
Letting go of the need to control your destiny is key. Michael Singer teaches people how to surrender and let go so that they can remove the negative blocks that reside inside of them. By doing this, positive emotions, like joy and happiness can flow through us with grace and ease.
Rather, learn how to be present with these experiences without creating meaning or attaching yourself to them. The ultimate freedom is being able to surrender to the moment and trust that everything in life happens for a reason.
You need to learn how to relax and release.
The moment that you get caught in negative emotions, you create a block in the flow of positive energy. This is the moment at which you need to observe your thoughts. Instead of getting attached to them, you need to become an observer of them.
Experts estimate that the mind thinks between 60,000 – 80,000 thoughts a day. If the majority of those thoughts are negative, how do you think your day is going to go? When you don't cling to your thoughts, negative experiences will merely pass by. By doing so, you allow the next moment to emerge. Mastering this peocess will require that you practice it every single day.
One of the best ways to surrender and let go is by harnessing the power of the breath. You can do this through yoga, meditation or spiritual practices, like Ayahuasca. These mindfulness-based processes will allow you to drop out of your head and into your heart and spirit.

Make this your new daily mantra – “Relax, release, surrender.” The more that you can do this, the more that you are allowing energy to flow through your body freely. Eventually, you will get to a point where you feel good about your life without even knowing why!
