Money is great, but all of the materialistic possessions that you acquire won't change your life. You can lose those things in a heartbeat. However, nobody can take away who you become in the process of achieving success.

Jim Rohn, one of my favorite motivational speakers said it best –“Set a goal to become a millionaire for what it will make of you to achieve it.”  In order to make a million dollars, you have to develop a million dollar mindset. This will require that you become disciplined, creative, and add value to the world in some way, shape, or form.

Here are 5 ways to make $1000 fast:

1. Get Rid Of Stuff 

I guarantee you that you have things of value in your home that you are not using or benefiting from. Why not sell them? I recently moved from Canada to Panama. I sold almost every materialistic item that I owned. Doing so forced me to live more of a minimalistic lifestyle. You don't need a lot of stuff to be happy.

2. Put On A Car Wash 

As a kid, my parents empowered me to become a resourceful person. As a result, I always found ways to make money, like putting on a car wash. You can still do things like this as an adult. Don't let your ego get in the way. If you are struggling in life, you need to be willing to do whatever it takes.

3. Rent Your Place On Airbnb 

You can generate a strong passive income stream from a platform like Airbnb. Why not rent out your place, even if it's just a bedroom, for a few days per month? Go camping for a weekend, stay at a friends house, or sleep in your car. Be resourceful and get creative.

4. Host An Event

Hosting an event is a great way to make some extra cash. This could be in the form of a birthday party, a poker night, or a seminar. I've put on seminars where I book a speaker and then charge people money to attend. As a result, I ended up profiting from it. Similarly, you could host a party and raise money for a charity that you are passionate about.

5. Do Freelance Work 

In today's digital world you can work from anywhere. You have skills that other people are willing to pay for, whether that's research, writing, or video editing. There are websites like Upwork or Fiverr where you can offer your services and browse jobs that are available.

However, I don't want you to just make an extra $1000. Rather, I want you to make a quantum leap in your life and become the kind of person that builds massive wealth.
