I have created a new and improved version of K Money Mastery which is called, Mastering Book Publishing!
After making my 2014 goals and resolutions public on my blog, I had many people request that I post more regular updates with my goals each month. I decided that I'd make a public commitment to post a Monthly Goals Report to help me stay accountable towards my goals and to be transparent with the progress that I'm making. Below, you'll find a brief summary of each goal that I committed to, along with an update on where I'm at with it. Hopefully I can inspire you with the action that I'm taking in my life and encourage you to regularly check in with your goals as well.

My Goals Breakdown
I'm now going to go into each goal that I committed to for 2014 in detail and share exactly where I'm at with it. Please note that I added two new goals to this list in the business category (as explained in the video), that weren't in the original 2014 goals and resolutions video.
Health & Fitness
1. I will easily be 160 lbs at 6% body fat and compete in the WBFF on July 26, 2014.
RESULT: 151.7 lbs at 8% body fat
I'm currently 151.7 lbs at around 8% body fat right now, as seen in the photo. For January, I was focused on leaning out and getting my body fat lower before I consider putting on some muscle again. I ended up losing about 6-7 lbs while in Bali and California, which was more than I was expecting. I've been aiming to lose about 1 lbs. per week as I don't want to lose muscle at all, but it was a bit of a challenge monitoring this while traveling as I didn't have a scale or wasn't able to track calories. While traveling, I did a 25-30 minute home workout that consisted of squats, rotation pushups, mountain climbers, up and down planks, dips, v-up sit ups, and jumping jacks. It was an awesome cardio workout, while stimulating my muscles and keeping me lean. I also was fairly disciplined with my eating habits and was able to estimate how much I was consuming each day.
Overall, I'm happy with the progress and I'm planning on losing a few more pounds so I can get my abs more defined. Once I get to a lower body fat, then I'll switch gears and start putting on muscle for the fitness competition while staying lean at the same time. It might be a bit unrealistic to get up to 160 lbs as I don't want to gain more than 1 lbs. per month (don't want to risk gaining fat), so I might modify this goal. It's also much easier to be back into a consistent routine here in Vancouver.
2. I will easily complete a 7-10 day cleanse using The Total Wellness Cleanse by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: No progress made yet
I haven't focused on this goal yet and plan on doing the cleanse sometime during the end of the year.
Finances
3. I will easily be making $30,000/month consistently by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: $29,532.42
During the month of January, I made $29,532.42 from my online businesses. This was a lot more than what I expected, as I was aiming for around $25,000. The most I've ever made in a month is $30,000, so I was thrilled to go over my finances and discover this. I mentioned in the video that I'm going to share details of my income sources, but I'm not going to be too detailed about the exact websites or books that are making me money. I still prefer to keep those private, as I've had people that attempt to rip off my ideas and end up competing with me. I've had this happen in Kindle publishing already and have seen people mimic and compete with the books that I have.
Clickbank: $14,514.47
My Clickbank earnings include Mastering Book Publishing course, 6 other Clickbank products that I sell (which I keep private) and affiliate earnings. My Mastering Book Publishing course has been growing every month and I've been taking a lot of action to making it one of the best courses out there for helping people make money online. I'm very proud of the progress I've been making with it. I also continue to make passive income from several products that I sell on Clickbank that I started 3-4 years ago that continue to make me money on autopilot. And finally, a large portion of the income is also from affiliate earnings that I get from this blog and other websites that I have also.
Kindle Publishing: $8,115.93
My Kindle publishing earnings include all the royalties that were deposited into my bank account for January from all 100+ Kindle e-books that I sell on Amazon. My income from Kindle publishing has actually dropped this month because I had to remove a few books that I was selling that violated some silly trademarks. I also had to fire one of my virtual assistants that I was working with for a few months, as he ended up getting greedy and was billing me for hours that he wasn't working. Valuable lessons learned here – I just need to get things set up again, which I think will be a blessing, as I am now able to teach these lessons to the members of KMM. I'm looking forward to be growing my Kindle portfolio much more during 2014.
JVZoo: $2979.10
This is all affiliate commissions that I earned from promoting some products on JVZoo during 2014. I ended up getting 3rd place in an affiliate contest and winning a $500 bonus, which was super cool too!
ShareASale: $297.75
This is more affiliate commissions that I earned from promoting some products on my blog.
Commission Junction: $184.07
This is more affiliate commissions that I earned from my blog.
Coaching: $1811.00
I wasn't able to take on many new clients during January, since I was traveling, but I still did a lot of 1-on-1 coaching with my existing clients and did a few individual sessions during January.
Other: $1040.10
This is all a bunch of small income that wasn't worthwhile separating into new sections, but it includes a payment from an affiliate program I promoted a few months ago, as well as earnings from Udemy and Fiverr.
Rental Income: $950
This income isn't internet related, but I still included it since I wanted to add up my gross income for January. I have an investment property that I rent out every month – I don't make any passive income from it, it just covers my mortgage.
Overall, amazing month. I now just want to continue to remain consistent with over $25,000 per month, and I fully expect to reach over $30,000 with the launch of some new projects that I have.
4. I will easily have saved at least $100,000 by December 31, 2014.'
RESULT: Over $10,000
I was able to save over $10,000 during January that is directly in my savings account. This doesn't include a investments that I made during January, I'm only tracking money that I'm putting into my savings and keeping away. I'm happy I was able to save so much in January, considering I spent A LOT of money furnishing my new apartment and traveling. Overall, I believe that I'll easily reach this goal.
Business
5. I will easily have published at least 100 videos blogs on Project Life Mastery by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: 9 video blogs
During January I published 9 video blogs and 1 guest post on ProjectLifeMastery.com (the guest post doesn't count though). Here they are below:

It takes a lot of time for me to record these videos and write a blog post for each, but it's been an enjoyable process. I'm aiming to do at least 10 per month, but if I do a minimum of 9 per month then I will achieve the goal by the end of the year.
6. I will easily launch my new money-making course by May 1, 2014.
RESULT: No progress made yet
Haven't had a chance to focus on this too much right now. Currently don't want to switch gears too much from Kindle, as I'm getting a lot of momentum in that space. Will likely begin to focus on this more in a few months.
7. I will easily launch my new Kindle service by February 1, 2014.
RESULT: Delayed, hopefully launching in 1-2 weeks
This goal has been delayed, as I ended up having some issues with a designer I was using. My regular web designer took most of December and January off, as he got married and was on vacation (in Bali too, actually). I ended up hiring this other guy, but he wasn't delivering up to the standard that I wanted and so I decided to wait until my original designer got back (he's back now). So this project is delayed, but hopefully should be launched in 1-2 weeks.
8. I will easily launch my own Kindle software by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: In progress
I'm super excited about this project as I have a team of software developers and designers working on it. This is my first software that I'm developing and there's been a bit of a learning curve with it. I'm investing a lot of time and money into this, but I know it will pay off in the long-run and help a lot of people (while solving my problems too). Things couldn't be moving along better here – hoping to get this launched in the coming months.
9. I will easily launch my new coaching program by March 1, 2014.
RESULT: In progress
I was actually planning on launching this sooner, but it was delayed due to the designer issue as well. My new coaching program will be launching this month, I'm just completing some finishing touches on the website for it.
10. I will easily complete Autoresponder Madness and implement what I learned into my business by March 1, 2014.
RESULT: In progress
During January I started going through this amazing course! It's probably one of the best online courses I've been through that is complimenting my business nicely. While I've been going through the training, I've been setting everything up for my online businesses as well. It's going to take me awhile to implement everything, but I want to make sure everything is done and ready by the time I finish this course, which hopefully should be this month.
11. I will easily launch the new design for Project Life Mastery by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: In progress
I added this goal recently, as I have been wanting to create a new design for PLM for awhile now. I found some good designers for the job and they've put together a great concept. We've been going back and fourth a lot right now and I will likely be asking you guys for feedback on specific elements of it before it gets finalized. I'm also using CrazyEgg on my as a heatmap to track how my visitors are using my blog.
12. I will easily write and launch a new Kindle e-book by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: In progress
This is a goal that I recently decided to add, as I've been wanting to write another Kindle e-book for awhile now. All 100+ Kindle e-books that I've published have all been outsourced by writers – the only Kindle e-books that I've actually written personally are Life Mastery and Mastering Book Publishing. The good news is I've already written this new Kindle e-book (took me 6 hours) and it's currently getting proof-read. I'm hoping to have it launched in 1-2 weeks.
Lifestyle
13. I will easily move into the Sheraton Wall Centre penthouse on the 48th floor in downtown Vancouver by February 1, 2014.
This goal is a dream come true! I just moved into the penthouse at the Sheraton Wall Centre on the 48th floor overlooking beautiful Vancouver. It's a $1.7 million dollar penthouse and it's still surreal. Just a few years ago I was broke and struggling, living in my friends living room… and now I'm living in a penthouse! Very awesome. 🙂 I've now furnished the place (which was a lot of work), and now I'm still furnishing it with smaller items. I'll have to do a video blog and give a tour of the place once everything is set up.
14. I will easily own and be driving a Corvette ZR1 by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: No progress made yet
Haven't had a chance to focus on this yet or make any progress towards this. It will likely be something I start looking at once my income hits the $30,000 per month mark, as I could then just finance this card for around $1,000 per month.
15. I will easily spend a weekend in Las Vegas by August 31, 2014.
RESULT: No progress made yet.
Haven't focused on this yet.
16. I will easily spend 2.5 weeks in Bali, Indonesia by February 1, 2014.
I spent most of January in Bali, Indonesia and had a blast. I travelled with my friend Mike and I recorded a lot of videos while there. It's absolutely beautiful there and I highly recommend to go if you get a chance!
17. I will easily travel to San Diego for the Traffic and Conversion Summit by February 1, 2014.
RESULT: Goal Achieved!
After Bali, I ended up going to Los Angeles and then to San Diego for the Traffic and Conversion Summit. It was an amazing event – over 2,000 people attended. I was able to hangout with some friends from a mastermind group I'm apart of and meet some internet marketers that are making millions online. It was very inspirational and now I've got a lot to apply to my businesses for 2014 that will take things to a whole new level. I'll have to do a video blog with the specifics of what I learned from the event.
18. I will easily take a 1-week vacation and travel somewhere by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: No progress made yet
Haven't been thinking too much about another vacation right now, as I just want to get back into a routine in Vancouver. Will be a few months before I look to travel again.
Social & Relationship
19. I will easily go out and socialize and have fun at least 3 times per week by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: Been going out 2 times per week
During January I went out and socialized around two times per week. By socializing, I mean actually going out with the intent to socialize – just doing fun activities in Bali didn't count. I ended up going out to a few lounges, bars and night clubs while there. I also met up with a few friends that are apart of my mastermind group that are living in Bali and they took us out as well. Now that I'm back in Vancouver, I'm able to get into more of a consistent routine of going out again.
20. I will easily have a fun get together and party once a month at my penthouse by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: Party planned
Didn't make any progress towards this goal during January, as I was travelling, but now that I moved into my penthouse I'm going to be throwing a house warming party at the end of February.
Habits & Personal Development
21. I will easily meditate 30 days in a row for 20 minutes at a time by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: No progress made yet
Haven't focused on this habit yet – will likely in a few months.
22. I will easily go 30 days without biting my nails by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: Goal Achieved!
This goal was very easy for me to achieve once I committed myself to it. I was biting my nails for so long out of habit and once I just decided to be conscious of it and focus on changing it, it was fairly easy. I had a few times where my fingers would come up to my mouth, but I'd quickly stop myself.
23. I will easily go through Tony Robbins Personal Power II by February 1, 2014.
RESULT: Goal Achieved!
I just finished completing this program for the 3rd or 4th time now. My mastermind group wanted to go through it together as a group, which I agreed to. I find that everytime I go through programs again and again, I continue to get more out of it. This is a powerful program and it helped me with many of my goals also.
24. I will easily read at least 12 books by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: Read 1 book
I read one book during January called The Millionaire Fastlane. I've heard about this book for years but it wasn't until a follower of PLM decided to gift it to me on Amazon, I decided to read it. It turned out being one of the best books that I've read! I wish that I read it sooner. It's all about how to get rich fast and has some powerful knowledge that I 100% agree with. Pick it up and read it! I'm aiming to read at least 1 book per month during 2014. The current one I'm reading now is on taxes.
25. I will easily respond to friends and family members within 24 hours for 30 days straight by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: Goal Achieved!
This is a goal that I feel that I've achieved fairly easily, just by putting some conscious effort into it. Now, it was fairly easy since I was travelling, so I've decided to continue on with this habit moving forward of course… as it's something I want to remain doing. I've been much better at getting back to people, especially since I was able to free up a lot of time by hiring a customer support team to handle most of the e-mails that I receive.
26. I will easily perform 1 act of contribution every month (volunteer, feeding families, donating to charities) by December 31, 2014.
RESULT: In progress
During January, my act of contribution was to give away money to people in Bali. I just randomly helped out strangers and families by giving away money, as well as tipping larger sums of money too. There's a lot of poverty there and just by giving away money I was able to make an impact on people and really feel awesome in the process. I'm going to find something new that I can do for February to continue making a difference!
Final Lessons Learned In January
January ended up being one of the best months that I've had in awhile. I traveled to another part of the world, moved into my dream apartment, my businesses are hitting record numbers, and I'm getting in the best shape of my life. I've been more motivated than ever, taking consistent action every single day. I hardly “waste time” or even take time off… I love what I'm doing so much that I am addicted to my life right now.
That is also the biggest lesson that I got from January: to really love what you do and be passionate about it. In order to be successful at something long-term, you must be PULLED towards doing it. If you have to “push yourself” each day, then it's going to be a struggle and you are going to burn out. In my case, I'm so addicted to my goals that there is no willpower or self-discipline involved. It actually takes me willpower and self-discipline to NOT do what I'm doing. I can't wait to go to the gym each day. I can't wait to work out my online businesses. I just can't wait to wake up each morning and I hate going to sleep at night. I'm just filled up with so much passion and juice right now.
Am I always going to be as motivated as I am right now? Most likely not. I know there are also times when I might lose some motivation or focus, or might have to rely on pushing myself to do things from time to time, but I think if I get back to what I love doing and always have compelling goals that I'm excited about, then I'll do great.
Another powerful lesson I learned is just how important it is to be able to outsource and leverage your lifestyle further. During January, I ended up hiring a customer support team to handle all of the e-mails that I receive (there's hundreds of them each day). This has ended up being one of the best things that I've ever done, as it's now free'd up several hours each day so that I can focus on things I enjoy doing more. I was dreading answering e-mails each day and it would get overwhelming, so I'm happy that I have such an awesome support team helping me now. It wasn't cheap as the team I have lives in Canada, but it's been worth it. Customer support isn't something that I want to cheap out on in my businesses.
This lesson has made me think about other ways that I can leverage myself. I'm starting to value my time more and more now. In The Millionaire Fastlane, the author was talking about how we throw away our time in attempts to find the “best deals out there”. While we're trying to save a couple of bucks, we are wasting hours of our time that is worth more than what we're going to save. I can relate to this, as my friend and I were going from place to place trying to find the perfect deal or restaurant or hotel… when instead, we decided to just make a DECISION and stick with it. My team is better used on things that can grow my business each day and make the biggest impact to society.
These are some of the biggest lessons that I stand out for me during January. Overall, I enjoyed putting this Monthly Goals Report together and I look forward to doing one again for February. I've found that this public commitment has been pushing me to stay motivated and accountable as well, which is helping me to get more done also. Thanks for reading!
