No matter what you go through in life, you will never lose your value.
If I told you that I was going to give you a $20 dollar bill, would you take it? Most people would say, “Yes.”
What if I were to take that same $20 dollar bill and crumple it into a ball? Even worse, what if stomped it on the ground?
No matter what I may do with that bill, there is a huge likelihood that you would still want it because it did not lose or decrease its value.

Feel like you've lost your worth or value as of late?
All of us have moments in our lives when we feel like life has crumpled us into a ball and knocked us down. When your life circumstances are dire, it's easy for your self-worth to dwindle. I think we can all agree that life is constantly testing our strength.
At the end of the day, it's up to you how you want to respond to challenges. You can either let challenges take control of your life, or you can rise up and become the master of your world. When I was younger, I had extremely low self-esteem. I didn't think I was good enough to do anything. Not surprisingly, every time that life knocked me down, I found it extremely difficult to stay positive.
Eventually, I hit my emotional threshold and decided that I no longer wanted to play the role of victim. Rather, I wanted to be the hero of my life story. How did I do this?
One of the best ways to take back control of your life when you are feeling low is to build healthy habits. By doing this, positive behaviors that may have once been challenging to carry out will eventually become automatic. I am who I am today because I did the work to reprogram my mind to think more empowering thoughts.
You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it. No matter what has happened to you thus far, or what will happen to you in the future, you can handle it. You will never lose your value or your worth. Dr. Lisa Firestone believes that self-worth should be less about measuring yourself based on external actions and more about valuing your inherent worth as a person. In other words, self-worth is about who you are, not about what you do.
You can never lose your value.
Dirty, clean, crumpled, or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. If you have found yourself on the floor, get back up, dust yourself off and keep moving forward.
In the words of Albert Einstein, “Life is like a bicycle, to keep your balance, you must keep moving.” You are destined for greatness. Whatever you do, don't give up on yourself.
