I want to share with you my 15 day juice fast and cleanse that I just completed. This is something that I do every year. It was one of the goals that I set for myself on my monthly goals report. I am a big believer in cleansing the body. Your health is your wealth.

My health is my top priority, above anything else. By mastering my health, I am able to master every other aspect of my life. I recognize that, if I don’t take care of my body, than everything else is worthless. I don’t want to be the richest man in the graveyard.

Cleansing is important because, most of us live an unhealthy lifestyle, which is influenced by our environment, in particular, the air we breathe, the water we drink, or the food that we eat.

We are not made for our current environment, and the level of toxicity that exists, but the amazing thing is that our body is cleansing 24/7, through our skin, lungs, respiratory system, etc. A lot of people are climbing the mountain for success, but they are physically exhausted. They don’t have the energy that is needed in order to master every aspect of their life.

Most of us are putting more toxicity in our bodies than what our bodies are capable of eliminating. When this happens, then you experience autointoxication. When your body experiences too much toxicity, it gets to a tipping point where it has to get rid of it, and then you get sick. When you get sick, that is your body trying to heal itself and get rid of toxins.

Cleansing gives your body a chance to rest and get rid of toxicity, without putting more in. Everything in my life changes for me when I cleanse – my happiness, my skin, my energy, my health, etc.  It is one of the greatest gifts that you can give to yourself.

There are many different cleanses out there, but I like to do a juice fast.  I was first inspired to do a juice cleanse when I read the book, “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead”, by Joe Cross. Juice fasting involves flooding your body with tons of nutrition from plants. In doing so, your body doesn’t have to digest all the nutrition, so it just goes directly right into your bloodstream.

I did a 15-day fast.  I have an Omega J8004 Juicer..  You want to have a slow juicer, because the fast ones shred the vegetables and destroy the nutrients. The slow juices takes longer to do, so I end up outsourcing it and get companies to send me the juices, 2 times/week.

You want to stay away from juices that you buy at the store because they are pasteurized.  These juices are basically just sugar water. I was drinking 4-6 juices/day. The first few days are the hardest, because, depending on how toxic your body is, you will have withdrawal symptoms because your body is getting rid of toxins. When you juice, you can experience sickness or low energy, but after a few days, hunger goes away, because our bodies are made for feast or famine.

On top of it, I did take some essential oils – Omega 3, coconut oil, olive oil, etc. Essential oils mean that your body is able to produce them yourself. Every few days I would have 15 grams of plant-based protein (pumpkin, rice, or hemp). I did light exercise every few days (push-ups), just enough so that my muscles knew that I still needed them. I did rebounding everyday for 30 minutes, which is a great cleansing process to help get ride of lymph. I drank lots of alkaline, filtered water. You want to flush the toxins as much as possible.

I did a cryotherapy session, where you freeze your body for 3 minutes to -135, which allows your body to release endorphins and get rid of inflammation.

I did four colon-hydrotherapy sessions also known as colonics, which cleanses your colon. I took Probiotics, essential supplements, and I drank wheatgrass. I did an infrared sauna session, which helped to get rid of a lot of toxins, and hot yoga, so that I was able to reduce my stress. Finally, on the last day of the fast, I did a liver flush.  There is a great book that you should read called, “The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush”, by Andrea Moritz.

You can tell that I take my health very seriously. Its what allows me to do what I do, so that I have energy and passion in my life. Everything suffers if you body is not working at optimal efficiency. Nobody is perfect. Once in awhile I treat myself to certain foods, but I always make sure that I have a yearly ritual of cleansing so that my body is able to take a break.

    I recently watched your video on Binge Eating and in it you end by saying not to “diet” for longer than 3 months and to have a “higher calorie” day once a week. Do you still agree with those thoughts and implement them? Would you consider this juice fast a “diet”? What exactly would you consider a “diet”??? I’m asking because I desire to have a healthier lifestyle including eating better, but want to avoid that “diet” mentality and yet struggle with cravings and binging. Thanks!
