I want to share with you some of the most powerful success habits of billionaires, like Warren Buffett, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and Richard Branson.
These billionaires aren’t better than others, but they do something different than others. They commit themselves to daily habits that have allowed them to build business empires and achieve massive success.
These people are some of the most influential people of our time. Just imagine if you adopted the same mindset and habits as them.
How do you think your life would change?
If you want to achieve success in any area of your life, identify the habits of those people who are already successful in that same area, and consistently model those habits.

Tony Robbins once said, “It’s not what you do once in a while that makes you successful, it’s what you do consistently.” Here are some habits that are common amongst all of the most successful people in the world:
Reading/Learning
They invest time and money to improve themselves. This is something that we can all do. For example, someone once asked Warren what the key to success was, and he responded by saying, “Read 500 pages every day. That’s how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee that not many of you will do it”.
In his 80’s, Warren Buffett is still taking massive action in his life. Bill Gates reads 50 books every year, which breaks down to one book/week. Elon Musk was once asked, “How did you learn how to build rockets? He responded by saying, “I read”.
In 2015, Marc Zuckerberg publicly declared his challenge to read a new book every other week, with an emphasis on learning about different cultures, beliefs, histories and technologies.
Exercising
Some of the most successful people in the world are busier than you and me. They employ thousands of people, and they have the most insane schedules, but they still make time for their health.
Richard Branson was once asked, “What is the key to productivity in your life”? He said, “To exercise.” When you take good care of your body, you perform at a higher level. Remember that your health is your wealth. If you aren’t radiant and strong, you will be ‘the richest man in the graveyard’, so to speak.
Reflecting
Jack Dorsey, the co-founder, and CEO of Twitter takes his weekends off, and he spends Sundays as a day for self-reflection so that he can review his week and prepare for Monday.
I adopt this habit as well. At the end of every week, I review my week. It's so important that you celebrate your wins and accomplishments, and then to ask yourself, “How can I improve and do better next week?
Being Consistent
Marc Zuckerberg wears the same thing every day. When he was asked why, he responded by saying, “I really want to clear my life, so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve my community, even small decisions, like choosing what to wear.”
Steve Jobs was said to eat the same thing every day. Why do these successful billionaires do these things? In order to prevent decision fatigue. Making decisions requires willpower. Willpower is a limited resource, and so in order to keep it strong, you have to find ways to conserve it. We want to simplify our life. Make the process of your day as simple as possible.
Setting Challenges
Every year, Marc Zuckerberg takes on a personal challenge to learn new things and grow outside of his work at Facebook. For example, he set a challenge to learn Mandarin and to meet one person every day that doesn’t work at Facebook.
Prioritizing
Warren Buffett has an exercise that he recommends for all of his employees, where you outline the top 25 goals of your life, and then you circle the top 5 goals. You focus on these, and then the other 20 goals are the ones that you avoid at all costs because they will be the biggest distractions for you.
That is the power of prioritization. Oftentimes, people get so distracted by the ‘shiny object syndrome’ that they don’t set out to achieve what they truly want. You need to simply and prioritize in order to achieve your goals.
I want to encourage you to develop new habits because they can change your life. Whatever you do, is what you become. According to a study by Duke University, habits form 45% of your total behavior. Habits allow you to build a strong foundation, which sets you up for a healthy and successful life.
When we consciously choose our habits and repeat them every day, they become rituals, which serve as a springboard for success. Aristotle once said, “We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit.” I believe in the power of modeling. Modeling the success of others has allowed me to experience so much growth in my life and in my business. Master the habits of other successful people and watch your life change for the better!

Hey, everyone! Stefan here from ProjecLifeMastery.com. In this video, I'm going to share some of the most powerful habits of the most successful people in the world today. These are people that are multi-billionaires. They have built amazing businesses. They are the leaders of the world. They are going to go down as some of the most influential people of our time. These are all people that we can learn and benefit from. I believe in the concept of modelling; if someone is successful or they have certain results in their lives, you can model them. You can identify the habits of what they consistently do every day.
By adopting those habits, you can apply them to your life, and you can achieve similar results. Some of the habits that these multi-billionaires have are pretty extreme. You don't have to model them to the same extent, but you can apply maybe different elements of them to your life.
What I have found is that there are some habits that are common amongst all the most successful people, and I'm going to go into those as well. I've got a list of some of them. I don't have it memorised, so I'm going to reference my computer throughout this video.
The first most common habit that a lot of very successful people have is reading and learning
They invest a lot of their time and money into improving themselves. This is something that we can all do. Billionaires are doing this. Reading books is something that you can do. It's very inexpensive. You can go to the library. You can adopt this habit into your life, and that can help you change your life and change your mindset.
For example, Warren Buffett is a multi-billionaire. One of the richest men in the world. He reads 500 pages every single day. In fact, when he was first starting his investing career, he was reading 600 to 1,000 pages/day. He loves to read. He loves to feed his mind. This is someone who, in his 80s, is still taking massive action in his life, and still learning as much as he was before. Here's a really great quote that I like from Warren Buffett. Someone asked him what was the key to success and he said, “Read 500 pages like this every day. That's how knowledge works. It builds up like compound interest. All of you can do it but I guarantee that not many of you will do it”. And it's true. What people can do is amazing but what people will do, often times, is a little bit disappointing. He spends 80% of each day to reading. Insane. He's not the only one though.
Bill Gates reads 50 books every single year. That breaks down to one book a week. Bill Gate is constantly reading as well. Mark Cuban reads more than 3 hours every single day. Elon Musk was asked the question, “How did you learn how to build rockets?” He said, “I read”. Reading is one of the important things for him as well. In 2015, Mark Zuckerberg set different goals and resolutions, but he resolved to read a book every two weeks throughout the year.
Oprah Winfrey's got her book club. She reads a lot as well. These are people that are multi-billionaires. Reading is something we can all do. Do more of it. Learn as much as possible. Maybe it's reading. Maybe it's listening to audio books. Maybe it's going to courses or seminars. These are all things that they all do.
In fact, there is a really good study that found that the secret to success of 1200 of the wealthiest people was that they read. They found that, what you read is important. The researchers found that they read self-development and educational books about success. Different subjects like that. Tom Corley's got a book called, “Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals“. I'll maybe link to that below this video as well. They actually did studies of people that have an annual income of a hundred sixty thousands or more, and that's what they read.
They are not just reading fiction books. Fiction is great if you want to just entertain yourself, but they are reading to learn. They are reading to improve themselves. What are some other habits? Here's another very common one. A very common one that is very fascinating is that all the most successful people, whenever I've done the research and studied them, is that they all workout, every day.
They all take good care of their bodies
They all have a habit, usually first thing in the morning. Right? They always do it in the morning. Most examples that I found, they do it in the morning. They work out, they exercise, and they take good care of their body. They all do different things. Arianna Huffington does yoga. Barack Obama works out for 45 minutes every day, first thing in the morning. Richard Branson loves kitesurfing and likes to swim and bike ride. He exercises a lot. Bill Gates gets on the treadmill every single morning.
Oprah does cardio in the morning. She does weight training every morning as well. What's fascinating about this is that these are people that are busier than you and I. These are people that have incredible responsibility in their lives. They employ thousands and thousands of people. They are worth billions of dollars. People think, “Oh, they just have all this free time”. They don't. They have the most insane schedules. They are all traveling around the world. They are still working. Richard Branson is still working harder today than he was in his 20s and 30s.
Steve Wynn, who's the founder of Wynn and who built a lot of Las Vegas. These are people that are extremely busy, and they still find the time to exercise. I remember, there's a great example from Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin. He was asked the question, “How do you be more productive? What's the key to productivity in your life?” He thought about it and he said, “To exercise”. He said, “When you exercise, you are more productive throughout the day, because when you take good care of your body, you are going to perform at a higher level”.
You have got to understand that, by taking good care of your body, your performance improves. Your focus improves. Your energy improves. These are all things that contribute to productivity. Not only that, but they also understand the importance of health. Your health is your wealth. These are people that are multi-billionaires. They realize that “I could have all the money in the world, but if I'm not healthy, if I'm not vital, if I'm not radiant and strong, then I'm going to be the richest man in the graveyard”. Right? Taking good care of your health is very important.
They made a lot of sacrifices
Elon Musk, who founded Paypal and Tesla worked 100 hours a week for more than 15 years. A hundred hours a week for more than 15 years. Now, that's amazing for achievement. I know he's had a few marriages and relationship issues, but he's a multi-billionaire. Working over 100 hours a week for 15 years is how he did it. Bill Gates, when he was first building Microsoft, didn't believe in vacations. He worked weekends. He's pretty extreme as well. A lot of these multi-billionaires work extremely hard. They make sacrifices.
They believe in the power of taking rest
Not every very successful billionaire works like a madman. They all work like a madman, but some of them take the weekend off as well. For example, Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter takes Saturday off. Then, Sunday, spends for reflection, for feedback, to review the week and prepare for Monday. That was another common habit of some of these successful people, is that they usually spend Sundays to reflect on things and really take that time to do an overview.
I found that to be a powerful habit in my life too. At the end of every week, on Sunday, or maybe it's Monday, I review the week. I look at what went well. What were the wins? What were the successes? What were the accomplishments of the week? What could I do better? How can I improve and make more progress for Monday, and for next week? Taking that time to effectively plan and strategize in that way is also a very powerful habit that they all do.
They simplify and prevent decision fatigue
An interesting habit of Mark Zuckerberg, the Founder of Facebook, is that he wears the same thing every day. He wears the same clothes every day. He washes his clothes obviously, but he goes to his closet, and I guess he's got the same shirts, the same pair of pants, everything is the same. The reason for that is to prevent decision fatigue. Making decisions requires willpower. There's a great book called, “The Willpower Instinct How Self-Control Works, Why It Matters, and What You Can Do to Get More of It“. It explains that we only have a certain amount of willpower throughout the day.
First thing in the morning is when we have the most amount of willpower throughout the day. It diminishes as the time goes on, which is why, late at night, your willpower is not as high. You might just want to watch TV or eat, because you don't have as much willpower. He has realized, and Steve Jobs is the same way, that he is going to wear the same thing every day because he doesn't want to have to think about what to wear. He doesn't want to spend even 5 minutes to have to try to decide, “Should I wear this or should I wear that?”
He just simplifies it and decides, “Okay, you know what? I'm just going to wear the same thing every single day”. Steve Jobs would even eat the same meal every day. He was known for only eating carrots and vegetables. One of his employees said that he ate so many carrots that at one point he was turning orange. Of course, we don't have to take it to that extreme, but just realise the benefit of simplifying your life in some way.
They love listening to music
We don't want to have to make many decisions and be overwhelmed with that. Try to make your process during the day as simple as possible. That is a pretty interesting habit. Steve Jobs loved listening to music. That was a habit that he had. He said that he didn't find it distracting, but rather that it helped his mind focus, and he found it helped him get into the rhythm of what he was doing. That's pretty fascinating.
Steve Jobs said that, “If you are trying to design a computer you will literally immerse yourself in the thousands of details necessary; all of a sudden, as the scaffolding gets set up high enough, it will all become clearer and clearer and that’s when the breakthrough starts”. He said, “It is a rhythmic experience, or it is an experience where everything is related to everything else and it’s all intertwined, and it’s such a fragile, delicate experience that it’s very much like music”. That's what he had to say about it.
They set challenges for themselves
One habit of Mark Zuckerberg is that he sets challenges for himself. Every year, he sets new challenges. For example, he set a challenge for himself to learn Mandarin. Then, he set one to meet a new person every day who doesn't work at Facebook. He spent a year only eating meat that he had killed himself. Pretty fascinating. He said, “I spend most of my time building Facebook, so these personal challenges are things that I wouldn’t normally have the chance to do if I didn’t take the time”. He likes to challenge himself in different ways.
They know the power of focus and prioritization
Warren Buffett was really big on prioritization. Prioritizing throughout the day. Prioritizing your goals. He has an exercise that he recommended for all his employees, which was to set the top 25 goals of your life. He says, “Don't prioritize your schedule. Schedule your priorities”. He asked a staff to write down their top 25 career goals that they could then use for shorter goals. It doesn't matter what your goals are, but he believed in setting your top 25 goals and then just circling your top 5. He believed that its important to focus on your top 5 goals.
He said that the other 20 goals that you have are of lower priority. He said that those are the goals that you avoid at all cost, because they are going to be the biggest distractions for you. You want to avoid everything else and just focus and prioritize on the most important things. I'll share with you a great story that I heard from Richard Branson about prioritization.
He was being sought after by a company that wanted him to speak at a seminar. The company emailed Richard Branson's assistant and they said, “We want to have Richard Branson come and speak. We've seen him do speeches before. We love him. We want to offer him,” I don't know, “$30,000 for him to come and speak.” His assistant replied back, “Sorry. Richard Branson is not available at this time to come and speak”. But they were determined. They wanted to have Richard Branson come and speak, so they offered him more money.
I don't remember the exact figures but they offered him $50,000. They said, “We are willing to pay $50,000 to have Richard Branson come and speak”. The assistant responded, “Sorry. Richard Branson's not available”. Then, they were even more determined and they offered $100,000. They said, “We are going to offer $100K to have Richard Branson come and speak”. They were that committed. The assistant responded back and said, “There's no amount of money that you can offer that will make Richard Branson come and speak at your event, and the reason for that is because Richard Branson is currently focused on his specific goals and outcomes, and he will not be distracted from those goals and outcomes at any cost. So, it doesn't matter how much you are willing to offer. He'll not be persuaded to come and speak”. That's the power of focus and prioritization. He knew what he was doing. He said no to all the other opportunities.
Oftentimes, most people get distracted so easily by the ‘shiny object syndrome'. There's always new opportunities that come up, that they don't actually achieve what they set out to achieve. They set their goals at the beginning of the year and then all of a sudden, they get busy. Things come up. You can't get distracted like that. You have to focus on what you want to accomplish.
Those are the main habits. I could go on and on. There's a lot of great books and resources that go into some of the habits. I'll maybe link to a few below in the video or on the blog post here. Another book was called, “What Successful People Do On The Weekends”. It goes into the habits of what they do on the weekends and there's a lot of research for that as well. Of course, there is also Stephen Covey's book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People“.
I find it really fascinating to study and learn other people because you can model their success. You can identify the commonalities of what people do, and then you can adapt those to your life. After watching this video, maybe you will realise, “Okay, you know what? I need to read more”, or, “I need to exercise and make that a habit”, or maybe, “I need to wake up earlier and prioritise things in my life”. These are all things that you can adapt to your life that can help you be more successful. That's primarily what I want to encourage in this video for you, is to develop new habits.
Habits can change your life
You are what you repeatedly do every single day. Whatever you do is what you become. I understand that for a lot of people, it's very easy to set these habits or these rituals that you have, but the challenging part for most is to actually turn them into a consistent ritual. Something you do every day. Something that is going to be lasting. A lot of people struggle with that.
I created a great course called, Morning Ritual Mastery, and I'll link to that below as well. It's a course that I created. A 7-day, 7-step process where I help you create rituals in your life. We all have rituals, but most people have rituals that are disempowering. They wake up. They watch the news. They eat junk food, you know, the donuts and the sugary cereals. All these foods that actually take away your energy. They check their email. They are so reactive throughout the day. They are stressed out.
They are not spending time to feed their minds. They are not spending the time to develop and cultivate their body, their energy, their health, which are all the successful things that people do. The course that I created helps people create a ritual, but also teaches you how to make it last. How to do a 30-day morning ritual challenge is something I have included in the course. I share with you how you can create these rituals for your mind, your body, and your spirit. How to actually change your belief and your mindset about creating these rituals. How to make it a must. How to have accountability. All the things that I found to help you actually stick with these rituals long-term in your life, because those are the things that people struggle with most.
If you want to check it out, I will reference that in this video. Just click the link in the description to learn more about it. It's a fairly inexpensive course, but it's powerful. We have had over 1,000 people go through it that love it. I share a lot of great success and testimonials with it as well. Check it out.
