My honest review and experience with attending Anthony Robbins Leadership Academy.

I recently attended the Tony Robbins Leadership Academy seminar in San Diego.

What Is Tony Robbins’ Leadership Academy About?

  • Learn to identify yourself as a leader
  • Improve your communication skills
  • Work with solid team leadership tactics
  • Learn about psychological tactics, like NLP
  • See how you can do even more with your team building

These are some of the many goals you will achieve with the leadership approach Tony Robbins shares. You will find hundreds, if not thousands, of ways to build your leadership skills from this academy.

I've previously attended many other Tony Robbins seminars in the past, including Unleash The Power Within by 7 times, Date With Destiny, and have listened to practically all of his audio programs and read his books.

As you can probably guess, I'm a huge Tony Robbins fan.

He's influenced my life in so many ways, ever since I was 17 years old.

Over the years, I've made it my goal to learn from and model some of the most successful people in the world, and Tony Robbins is definitely included in that.  I've taken on many of his beliefs, psychology, habits, and it's led me to a lot of success in my life.

Tony Robbins also introduced me to NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), which I received my practitioner certification earlier this year.

In this video blog, I openly share my experience and review of Tony Robbins Leadership Academy.

What Will You Learn At Tony Robbins Leadership Academy?

There's a lot that you'll learn over the 4-day seminar.

Some of the biggest highlights for me were mentioned in the video, however, to review:

  • The 7 Steps To Creating Lasting Change
  • NLP Techniques (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)
  • The Beliefs And Psychology Of A Leader
  • How To Work With And Build Teams
  • How To Deal With And Overcome Adversity
  • What It Means To Be A Leader

And a whole lot more, that would take me forever to mention in this blog post.

Unfortunately Tony Robbins isn't at Leadership Academy, however, it's run by Joseph McClendon III and he did a fantastic job.  The only thing I wish there was more of was Tony Robbins in the seminar.  I believe there was only two videos of him during the entire 4 days.

At Tony Robbins Leadership Academy, you're also a part of a team and each team has a leader in it.  You're working with and interacting with a lot of amazing people, which made the experience much more fun and enjoyable.

The Value Add of the Tony Robbins’ Leadership Academy

I had many gains by attending the Tony Robbins’ Leadership Academy that can be applied for several years to come.

The greatest part of the academy was the mixture between the practical tools and the philosophies that we all know Tony Robbins’ by. Learning NLP, combined with the understanding of how to deal with teams, was one of the many examples that shows the superior quality of these workshops.

The context that is surrounding the ideals of Tony Robbins’ Leadership Academy has a different twist than the “traditional forms” of leadership.

We’re often exposed to leadership as being transformative or task-based, using corporate definitions and textbook approaches to identify who we are.

Not with this course. Instead, there is more weight on the leader. What will they do to motivate others? What can you apply in your life to make things even greater?

The shift in perspective from other leadership philosophies is so important to look at. I found that I had to look at how I worked with others as well as techniques that I used in order to motivate others and to get what I wanted from my own business.

While this is everyone’s objective, there are different approaches which are used and which allow us to excel at what we are doing. Tony Robbins’ Leadership Academy is one of the examples that provides this insight.

Should You Go To Tony Robbins Leadership Academy?

If it is your first Tony Robbins seminar, then I'd say no.  I believe this seminar is primarily geared towards those that have already attended a Tony Robbins seminar and are familiar with his work.  I'd recommend attending Unleash The Power Within as your introductory seminar to Tony Robbins' teaching.

However, if you're already familiar with Tony's work and have attended one of his seminars before, then I think this event will benefit you.

If you're a coach, trainer, speaker, or someone that is in a position of leadership – then absolutely, you should attend this seminar.

Much of what is taught at Tony Robbins Leadership Academy is NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), which is extremely powerful for producing change in ourselves and others.

In order to get really good at NLP, you need to practice it consistently after you learn it.  So that's why I say if you're a coach, then you can easily get good at these techniques by using them on your clients.

Regardless, Leadership Academy is a great experience for anyone that wants to step up and become a better leader in the world.

What Leadership Goals Do You Want to Achieve?

If you are ready for the next steps of business or working with others, then look first at your leadership goals. This will determine if Tony Robbins’ Leadership Academy is the right approach for you to take.

Here’s a checklist you can use to identify what you need to look at with your leadership skills and where you want them to be:

  1. How well does your team identify with what you are doing?
  2. Is the working environment you are in positive?
  3. What are the skills you want to improve so you can better communicate with others?
  4. Does your team achieve the goals you want?
  5. What are the leadership qualities you have or that you could improve on?

Since this academy is related to the personal relationship to leadership, it’s important that you assess where you are at with your own skill building. It’s also important that you look at what you want to improve.

This assessment and goal setting will define if the leadership skill building is right for you or if you need another approach.

You may find that there are other skills you need to develop first which would then be complicated by the leadership skills Tony Robbins’ offers.

I suggest that everyone look at the possibilities with the Tony Robbins’ Leadership Academy to determine if it is the right step for them to take.

I recommend ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that Tony Robbins' name is associated with, because everything he produces has tremendous value in one's life.
